sick_n_tired 0 Posted October 15, 2008 SCORING FOR QB 40 yds = 1pt all TDs 6 pts rushing/ 20 yds/pt -1 sack -2 INT -2 fumble lost. So I am 4-1-1, second most FPs in my league, and yet have a complete abomination at QB. Trading is pretty thin in this league and any coach with a good backup or 2nd QB is not approachable for a trade. So the wire has given me: Marc Bulger Trent Edwards Kerry Collins I'll make do...but looking at this week's matchup, man I don't know. Collins at KC but I try to start QBs at home. Edwards at home vs SD? SD shut down the Pats last week and I am still not sure just how bad was that concussion. Ghosts of Stan Humphries appear when I close my eyes. I played Bulger last week and got positive points (1) for the first time this season at QB so while I feel loyalty I dont think this is the week to use him. So , Help?? Leave a link, will rate yours. We Tigers 71 Posted October 15, 2008 I like Edwards. San Diego stopping the Pats passing game had more to do with Cassel's horrible timing and poor decision-making; he was reluctant to ever push the ball downfield, and generally seemed to wait half a second to a second too long on many of his throws. Edwards is no all-pro, but he's up against a still-poor Chargers pass D and probably better than Kerry Collins. If you're 4-1-1 with bad QBs, you can probably keep up your pace with Edwards as long as he is healthy to go this week.
falcons88 1 Posted October 15, 2008 I don't think Edwards is a bad play either especially if you dont like Collins playing at Arrowhead. Not to mention, as nice as it would be to have an upgrade at QB, its obvious the rest of your team is doing all the work, so a mediocre QB isnt the worst thing in the world. You are 4-1-1. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=328973
dumbassmax2001 0 Posted October 15, 2008 I like Edwards. He has had an extra week to prepare for this game should do pretty decent. See mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=328976
sick_n_tired 0 Posted October 15, 2008 Hey thank you for the responses - I put this out there because I did lean towards Edwards, but was wondering if overcoaching was happening and I would get responses "Are you kidding me? Have you seen how bad the Chefs are this year?" as I called them going 2-14 even before the Croyle injury. To answer the one comment about depth - I'm in a 14-team league, TD-heavy (no PPR, 20 yds/pt rush and rec) and my lineup outside of QB/TE is solid. I beat the best team in the league week 3 and took out the last undefeated team last week. I am better than all but one team and since I beat them already, just waiting to see them in the Super Bowl QB Edwards, Collins, Bulger (Drafted Kitna, Garrard) RB MB III, R. Bush, D. Williams, Hightower, Kevin Smith. Drafted Sticky Ricky and Ray Rice, K Smith is a WW pickup WR Fitzgerald, B Marshall, V Jackson TE Z. Miller K Crosby DEF Tampa, SF. if only I hadn't cut Garrard wk 3 I would be in real good shape, but now its week-by-week matchups with Tier III QBs. Thanks again everyone for the advice, good luck week 7 to everyone!
