Mike - very excited for the changes in the 2012 product. Can't wait to dig into it. Any chance you guys might be working on an iPad version for the future?

Mike, Additional comments/questions: 1) I agree - it's weird. It is an extra roster spot, that you can plug any player, at any position in. Once you want to use that player, the only type of player that can go back into the IR, is someone actually injured. I'm assuming that the partial additions to the roster spots will allow me to record the extra player and not throw a roster "out of sync" with the stated rules. 2) I'll check that out. Hadn't used your software with an auction league, so I wasn't that familiar with the process. Thanks, Mark

I'm planning on using the CC/DB for an auction league this year. There are two things that this league does, that have me a little worried for getting the software ready to go before draft-day. They are: 1) They have a roster requirements that are fairly normal - 2 QB, 3 RB, 4 WR, 2 DF/ST, 2 PK, but they also have an IR spot, that you can draft ANY type of player into, to "hold" there until you need them. How do I account for the fact that one team may have 3QB, while another may have 4 RB due to this unique option? 2) They draw the draft order the morning of the draft. Once drawn, the same order is used for "nominating" the players. How do I select the team that purchased the player (not nominated the player) to record who they drafted? I'm used to using your product in a normal league, where each team pops up, you select the player and "record" the pick. Thanks, Mark DiBlasi

Finished My Draft - Some Comments and Suggestions for Draft Buddy
Mark DiBlasi replied to Mark DiBlasi's topic in Draft Buddy
Mike, I just noticed that feature this morning! Sorry about that. That would have been real helpful during the draft - but it's my own fault for not messing around with the software enough to know that. I like the schedule grid idea. That would be a nice feature. Anyways - thanks. Mark -
Finished My Draft - Some Comments and Suggestions for Draft Buddy
Mark DiBlasi posted a topic in Draft Buddy
I just finished my draft last night. Overall, the draft buddy was spectacular. It performed exactly how I thought and hoped it would. People kept asking me - "How do you know what position that guy is?" or "How do you know what team he's on so fast?". It's because I could quickly look up a player and see that information. I had only one complaint - The summary page only displayed some of my roster - QB 1, RB1/2 and WR 1/2. I was expecting it to show my entire team, so I could quickly see who I had and what their BYE weeks were. I had to do some searching through different tabs to figure out who else I had, and what weeks they were off. One other small suggestion - is there any way to include strength of schedule in one of the tabs? That would be a nice quick info thing, when comparing a few different guys. Anyway - minor complaints. Loved the product. Mark DiBlasi -
Mike, Ah - Makes perfect sense now. I'm glad you clarified that. I'll do that setup just before my draft, to make sure that the cheatsheet files are completely updated. Mark

Mike, I just want to make sure I understand you - do you mean when I run the setup draft buddy this year, or if I use this again next year? I'm confused by you "when you run the setup draft buddy again" statement. Mark DiBlasi

My league uses a version of the snake draft order. It is this: • Random draw for round 1, round 2 is reverse of round 1. • Random draw again for round 3, round 4 is reverse of round 3. • Repeat My question is this - I used the custom draft feature to manually go in and alter each and every round (as the draft buddy automatically takes the team order, then snakes that for the remainder of the draft). Now that I've done this, can I "lock" the draft order down to prevent accidental changes? If I can't "lock" it down, what is the best way to quickly, on the fly on draft day, fix draft order issues? Thanks! Mark DiBlasi

There are some players that I'd like to add custom notes to. I see a note field, but this appears to be notes updated when the compiler grabs the most recent info. 2 questions: 1) Where do I add custom notes? Do I just add or modify the notes that are there already? 2) If I add/modify a note, will I loose this information when I do an projection update? Thanks. Mark

How do I adjust the ranges for Defesnes Points Allowed?

Excellent. I was worried about changing something that shouldn't be - but now I understand. Thanks! Mark -
General (dumb!) question regarding Rankings in Draft Buddy...

Thank you for the information. So basically, if our league doesn't draft individual defensive players, I can just ignore this, correct?j Thanks! Mark DiBlasi -
General (dumb!) question regarding Rankings in Draft Buddy...
Mark DiBlasi posted a topic in Draft Buddy
I've been trying out the draft buddy to make sure I'm familiar with all of the features before my draft. (This is the first year that I've used the Compiler and Buddy products.) 1) When I look at the "Summary" Tab in the Draft Buddy, there are two sections that I have questions on. What is the difference between the "Top Ranked Players Available" section and the "Top ADP Players Available" section? 2) Also, what exactly is th difference between ADP and IDP? 3) Lastly, what is the proper procedure for saving each of the files? Should I just do a save from the Excel menu, or use the buttons in the files to "Save League Profile" and the "Save as..." button? Thanks ahead of time for the information. Mark DiBlasi -
My league uses the following setup for Defenses: 0 Points Allowed: 10 Pts 2-6 Points Allowed: 5 Pts 7-13 Points Allowed: 1 Pt This range setup isn't the same as what's in the Draft Buddy. Any thoughts/recommendations? Mark DiBlasi
