Spermoff: most overrated player in NFL history
MedStudent replied to titans&bucs&bearsohmy!'s topic in The Geek Club
Bettis - catchy nickname but his playoffs were atrocious especially against New England. Mike Singletary - best thing about him was his stare. Not all that talented. Surrounded by great players that freed him up to make easy tackles. -
He was under tremendous pressure in the first half. UCLA's offensive line may be Rosen's downfall. Even in the 2nd half he was making throws under pressure. The kid was knocked around but showed grit and never gave up.

Not a bad start last night for one of those LA quarterbacks.

The heisman winner will be a qb from a university in Los Angeles.

Loved season 1. I watched the complete season 2 hoping it would pick up. It was awful.

Tiger Woods, Lindsey Vonn nude photo leak sparks legal action vs. website
MedStudent replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
Not important. But if you are a guy and see a thread title with the words Lindsey Vonn nude in the title, how can u not open it and look for a link? -
Ariya is more like a typical Stark. Willing to die for their family and ideals. Sansa may end up the best Stark at playing the game of thrones. She may be using little finger as much as little finger is using her and she looks after her own personal interest more than a typical Stark.

He's not a nazi sympathizer. He's a nazi opportunist. He knows these idiots are his biggest supporters so he doesn't want to risk losing them by picking sides in the dueling protestors.

Good summary. Bannon's exit may mean the death of the Mexican Wall.

Does anybody here oppose organ donation? Not a donor?
MedStudent replied to wiffleball's topic in The Geek Club
No, you are wrong. You are confusing a vegatative state with Brain dead. You are brain dead when their is no neurological activity in the brain. No electrical impulses are present in the brain. The brain is dead and no longer functioning. Involuntary things like breathing and dilation of the pupils is impossible when you are dead and certainly no pain is felt. Brain death means you are dead. You can be on a venitilator and still be dead. ETA- I believe the US also has stricter guideline lines in declaring a person brain dead than some European countries. The US includes the brainstem as part of the brain. Im not sure if all the European countries do. -
He sure wasn't no cool hand Luke.

I'd vote for unlimited. I always thought two was too small. And like edjr said, you have to cut down at the end of the year anyways. I think we should bump it up to 4 immediately and take a vote in the off season to make it unlimited.

You may want to peenie this thread before everyone reads it.

Does anybody here oppose organ donation? Not a donor?
MedStudent replied to wiffleball's topic in The Geek Club
I think your understanding of brain death is what's holding you back. When a patient is brain dead they can't feel anything. They are dead. The heart is kept pumping with medical technology. You only have a finite amount of time to transplant an organ (varies by organ). so, the heart is kept pumping as long as possible but they ARE DEAD! Heart may be beating. But they are Dead! Whoever told you a donor victim can feel anything is an idiot. Brain dead people don't come back to life. We are not talking about people in a coma. We are talking DEAD. Organs are harvested from Dead people who do not need anesthesia. Believe ME. I know what I'm talking about. -

The winner of this trade will be determined by Watkins. so far he has been a bust. he needs to stay healthy and be very good. The Neckbeards should get three starters out of this. All 3 could potentially be studs and they should be around for a long time. As one who believes in building through the draft and trying to keep the team as young as possible*, I give the edge to The Neckbeards. The Elway division just keeps getting stronger. * That's a hint for people trying to trade me running backs with 7 years in the league and 30+ year old wide receivers for some of my young studs.

This is why I love living near Chicago
MedStudent replied to Frozenbeernuts's topic in The Geek Club
I am finishing up my 5 th year in Chicago and will be leaving in June. Let me tell you, Chicago is a world class city with world class chefs. It is more of a destination city than Phoenix. Phoenix is just a winter getaway. I always run into international tourists in Chicago. World class architecture, a beautiful lakefront, a new riverwalk, a dynamic night life. they have great street festivals in the summer teeming with post college graduate hotties. I'll miss this city. I'm glad I chose it for my residency. I won't miss the winters and I am an ocean kind of guy but it's a fun place. -
Yes, I am you.
