10-team league, PPR. Our WRs score 1pt/20yds; TE score 1pt/10yds. I am keeping Spiller and our draft does not snake, so I pick 9 in every round. I think in round 1 I'll have a chance at a Graham, Julio Jones, Dez Bryant, or AJ Green. With our scoring system favoring TEs, would you grab Graham at 9 or go with one of the WRs? I'm torn. Draft is tonight.

10 team, 1 keeper league. I draft 9th, non snaking draft. QBs get 1pt/10 rush yds; RBs 1pt/20 rush yds. PPR league. Rushing TDs 6, passing 4. Newton was the 5th highest scorer in our league last year. But 18 of top 20 scorers were QBs. QBS are deep, and drafting late in every round could leave me playing catch up on other positions. I'm leaning toward keeping Newton. But should I consider Spiller or McCoy. Not sure if they'll be there by end of round 1. Only 2 RBs likely being kept. And, if I keep Newton and RBs go fast in first round, should I grab a RB at 9 or look at a WR in that spot? Calvin probably being kept. No other WRs being kept. Thanks!
-
Yeah, we did that a few years ago to try and make QBs more attractive and even them out with RBs. We were trying to put the top three positions on par with each other to make drafting less predictable. We are actually having a meeting thursdaybto talk about changing QBS scoring to bring them down. They score way too high in our league now.

Championship game. Our TEs score 1pt/10 yds; WRs score 1pt/20 yds; PPR league; TDs 6 pts. Do I go with Heath Miller or Marques Colston? Miller's targets have been high, Colston not so much. Cincy D leaky against the pass, Dallas is OK. Colston not getting the looks but the offense is explosive and he could at any time. Any ideas? Right now I have Miller in my lineup. Should I change it? Keep it?

10-team, 1 keeper, standard PPR league. I'm keeping Newton. Other keepers will probably be Rodgers, Brees, Brady, Vick, Foster, Megatron, J. Graham, Ray Rice. I pick at #4 and have picks 2.4, 2.9, 3.5, 3.7, 4.3, 4.4, 4.9, 5.4, 6.4... No snake. I want McCoy. I think the guy at #1 will take him, but he's willing to trade out of that spot too. Should I give up some picks to move up and take McCoy or keep everything and take a guy like Forte or Matthews at #4? Not sure what the best move is here. No one else willing to move up so I can get more picks, and picking at #4 I don't like anyone else available to me there. Figuring top 2 picks will be McCoy, Gronkowski. From there don't see how things will shake out. Any ideas? Stay put or trade up? thanks.

Went back and looked at the rosters, and figure that Matthews will be the last keeper. I couldn't remember rosters when I first posted. If I can't make a good deal to move up, who should I look to take at #4? Thinking top 2 picks will be McCoy and Gronkowski. Not sure at all about #3. Was trying to feel out the guy with that pick, but couldn't get a read on who he likes. Maybe Stafford, maybe a RB. He's the guy with Calvin Johnson. Thanks.

Why are you pooping on this dude's mojo?

10 team, 1 keeper/PPR league. Standard scoring. Start 1QB/1RB/2WR/Flex. I'll be keeping Peterson. I have the first pick in every round (non-snaking draft). Ray Rice, A. Johnson, Fitzgerald, C. Johnson will all be available. I'm leaning toward Rice with the top pick and then looking to go WR, WR, TE (if everything falls into place...which it rarely does) in the next few rounds. Possibly throw a QB in there if there's a run. What do you think about Rice going first? I wonder how Boldin will affect his touches, if at all. Or should I go with one of the stud WRs and look for a RB in round 2? I like Rice for his consistency over one of the WRs. Any thoughts?
-
Thanks. But he's already my keeper, so he won't be there at #1.
-
OK. I'm in a 10 team, 1 keeper league. We start 1QB, 1RB, 2WR, 1Flex(RB, WR, or TE), 1 TE, K, D/ST. Standard scoring/PPR league. BUT, TE yardage points are weighted heavier (i.e. RB/WR get 1pt/20yd, TE get 1pt/10yd). I have AP as my keeper and pick 1st in every round (we don't snake). I'm going Ray Rice at #1 overall. Thinking that some top WRs will go at the end of round 1. Is it crazy to go TE at the top of round 2. They tend to go quick once the first goes. And there's a guy in my league who loves to grab them early. I like Vernon Davis. Great year last year. Weak division. Upcoming system. I'm really leaning toward grabbing him at the top of round 2 and watching some others jump at TE after me. It'll happen. Am I nuts?
-
Are you serious? A guy in my league just re-named his team the "Saskatchewan Short Bus Window Lickers" for this year.
-
Thanks guys. We made that TE scoring tweak a few years back, to try to add balance to the positions and take away from the rush on RBs in the early rounds. To make the draft more exciting and try to make other positions more valuable. Last year, the TE loving guy went TE/WR/TE in the first three rounds and started 2 TE much of the year. That's where I'm leaning. Now it's just to decide who to take. I like the way Davis came on at the end of the year, and they still don't have a lot of weapons in SF. I've soured on Gates a bit, with Jackson out and his injury history, everything seems to be catching up with him. You would think Clark would fall off sometime, but with super Manning it's tough to be against him. But with so many weapons there there's always that chance he has down weeks. He's just so good. I don't know. I guess I'll see what happens in the first round of my draft. There's a chance some TE will go before I pick in Round 2.

I know KeeperCommish, I thought the same thing. But Rice outscored Johnson by over 20 points in my league last year. That's where I'm scratching my head. Not sure of the Boldin affect on Rice, but Johnson has never had double-digit TDs in a year, and Owen Daniels should be back this year. That could help or hurt AJ too. This is what makes Fantasy Football fun I suppose.
-
Yeah, the "C. Johnson" is Calvin. Chris will be kept. I have Rice on my team also, which is why he's available. The guy who has Andre Johnson also has MJD, so Drew will be kept as well. Thanks for your advice. That's the way I was leaning, but like to hear it from others too, or if there's something I'm missing. I love Rice, so I can be a bit biased.

If Leinart gets the start over Warner, are you benching Fitz?
evenflow814 replied to McPhreak's topic in FFToday Board
struggling on this one too. i have jennings, sims-walker, and chambers along with fitzgerald. need to win to get in the playoffs. i'm going to fitzgerald. he's the best in the league, and leinart is practicing all week, which i don't believe he did last week. he blows chunks but i'd rather go down with fitz in my lineup than go down with him on the bench. he gives me the best chance to win. like said above, never bench your studs. -
Is Fitzgerald a must-start if Warner is out, even for one game? I have Fitzgerald, but also have Sims-Walker, Chambers, and Jennings on my bench. I hate Jennings now and just can't stomach putting him in my lineup. I'd like to play Fitzgerald, but he laid an egg this week w/Leinart. Is it wrong to go with Chambers and MSW this week? Need a win to get in playoffs.
-
Warner not expected to play. Do I start Sims-Walker over Fitzgerald?
-
Got screwed by Jennings today and have to decide who has a better shot at putting up numbers, Sims-Walker @ SF or Ray Rice at home vs. Pittsburgh. PPR league. Pitt is tough, but Rice torched an equally tough Minn Defense on the road. Walker has been hot of late, but I feel Rice may get more touches. It's just what will he do with them? Any thoughts? Thanks!

If everything stays as it's currently going in the league this year, will Adrian Peterson be the #1 player (even #1 RB) next year in fantasy? Chris Johnson is making a pretty good case for being at or near the top. Ray Rice is equaling or besting Peterson in PPR leagues. How would you rank the RBs for next year, at this point in the NFL season? (not all of us are playoff teams this year )
-
Need help picking my QB this week. I like the chances of Ryan being in a shootout at Dallas, but not sure how Turner could take away from his stats. Ben has been hot, but the weather looks iffy in Pittsburgh, Minnesota's D can be tough but Flacco lit 'em up and Winfield is hurt. I can't believe the numbers Ben is putting up. Currently have Ben in my starting lineup. What do you think I should do?
-
Rice is at home vs. KC; Grant is at home vs. Chicago. Standard scoring PPR league. I'm leaning toward Rice. I like his matchup. But I think GB is going to be sick offensively this year. I also have Jennings starting. Rice is my RB2, AD is my #1.

Drafted last night. I like my team, except QB. I have Matt Ryan and Big Ben. QB scores 5-7-9 points based on TD distance (the longer TD = more points). I'm not crazy about Ben on my roster. Should I ride him out as my #2 or pick up someone like Orton or Shaun Hill to back up Ryan? Rodgers and Rivers went way early. RBs: AD, Grant, Rice, K. Smith, Taylor WRs: Fitz, Jennings, A. Gonzo, S. Holmes TEs: T. Gonzo, Celek Def: Pitts
-
Standard scoring, start 1qb, 1rb, 2wr, 1te, 1 flex. PP2R. Picked 3rd in a non-snaking draft. Had a few extra picks with AD my keeper. QB: Matt Ryan Big Ben RB: Adrian Peterson Ryan Grant Ray Rice Kevin Smith Chester Taylor WR: Larry Fitzgerald Greg Jennings Anthony Gonzalez Santonio Holmes TE: Tony Gonzalez Brent Celek Def: Pittsburgh Green Bay

Standard PPR scoring, 4pts/passing TD. Start 1RB, 2WR, 1Flex (rb or wr). I have some extra picks in rounds 3, 4 & 5. Looking at Fitz, A. Johnson, Slaton, Westbrook, D. Williams, LT, Gore, SJax likely available to me. We all keep one player. I have Adrian Peterson. Moss probably the only WR to be kept and 3 QBs likely to be kept. Those 4 guys all will go RB in first round, but I don't see either of the top 2 WRs there for me at 2.03. Would you guys go Fitz or Johnson at 3 to get one of the top WRs or another, lesser RB at 3? WRs have always been a weakness for me, so I'm leaning toward one of them. Didn't want my bias to interfere with good strategy. I like Fitz over Johnson because of QB situation there. Schaub likely to get hurt, and without Rosenfels there when the injury comes don't like their number 2 as much as Leinart should Warner go down. Thoughts? Thanks.

Marion Barber makes me nervous. I think Felix Jones is going to take away touches and Barber has fallen apart at the end of the season the last 2 years. I like your team except for Barber, actually. Getting MJD would be huge but still think you could upgrade Barber for security. Good luck.
