Merry Christmas and happy holidays to my Geek friends

    You too Tim...
  4. I conducted a little experiment... Using Madden, I created a RB based on HT... I gave them "ones" all across the board... In their first four games, the most yards that they had at 10 carries was -3 yards... Digital HT hit the weight room and was able to decrease his 40-time to 8.35 seconds and was now able to bench 20 pounds... I updated their numbers to "twos"... In the next four games, the most yards after 10 carries was one yard... Obviously the smart thing to do is to take the million and don't look back as simulations don't lie...
  5. So since he played a snap under center (even though I said a little bit back under center), he would be now eligible in a fantasy league to play QB? How come NFL.com doesn't have rosters stating that someone who took a direct snap isn't listed as QB/RB or QB/WR? OMG, if a RB lines up as a wideout, can they then play WR in fantasy leagues and be a QB/RB/WR then?
  6. According to the initial post, both teams are random...
  7. You are the dumbass... The RB can get the direct snap in a wildcat formation just a little behind the center and have three large people behind to push forward...
  8. Ten illegal "tush push"es should get you the yards...

    Taught to Hate

I knew that he was just quoting, but in 1985, I think white people were still expected to say "n-word" and not say the entire racist word... Were they not? It doesn't matter to me, either way, but I am just trying to remember history in my old brain...

  16. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/39119933/chargers-fire-head-coach-brandon-staley-gm-tom-telesco After 2Β½ seasons highlighted by lofty expectations and routine letdowns, the Los Angeles Chargers have fired coach Brandon Staley and general manager Tom Telesco, the team announced Friday. Staley is the second Chargers head coach to be fired midseason since 1970, joining Kevin Gilbride, who was fired in 1998. The Chargers were 24-24 under Staley (through Thursday), with one playoff berth in 2022 that ended with a 27-point blown lead to the Jacksonville Jaguars -- the third-largest comeback in playoff history. Owner Dean Spanos said in a statement, Chargers' fans "deserve more." "These decisions are never easy, nor are they something I take lightly - especially when you consider the number of people they impact," read Spanos' statement. "We are clearly not where we expect to be, however, and we need new vision. Doing nothing in the name of continuity was not a risk I was willing to take. Our fans have stood strong through so many ups and downs and close games. They deserve more. Frankly, they've earned more. The Chargers hired Staley because of his success as a defensive coordinator with the Los Angeles Rams in 2020, where they were the league's best defense in points and yards allowed per game. But Staley never had that impact with the Chargers, despite having star talent and many of his former players. Staley's defensive frustrations came to a head after Thursday's 63-21 drubbing by the Las Vegas Raiders, who were starting backup Aiden O'Connell and were without running back Josh Jacobs. Quarterback Easton Stick made his first start for Los Angeles in place of Justin Herbert, who suffered a fracture to his right index finger in Sunday's loss to the Denver Broncos and is done for the season. It's the second coach the Chargers have fired since drafting Herbert in 2020. Herbert's first coach was Anthony Lynn, who was 33-31 as the Chargers coach from 2017 to 2020 and 7-9 in his final season. ----------- Yeah it happened on the moon as well, but I thought it deserved its own thread...
