Okay maybe your offers didn't suck

Patriots placed RB Shane Vereen (wrist surgery) on injured reserve/designated to return. Vereen was expected to miss only 2-3 weeks, but as usual with the Patriots, we didn't know the truth. Vereen won't be eligible to practice for six weeks, and can't return until Week 11 (New England is on bye in Week 10). It's a massive blow for an offense that's unusually short on playmakers as it waits for Rob Gronkowski to return. It also means Stevan Ridley could start getting some run on third downs, but Leon Washington is a candidate for passing-down snaps. Inexplicably, LeGarrette Blount now finds himself No. 2 on the depth chart, but that could change once Brandon Bolden (knee) returns. The Pats are likely in the market for veteran help. Vereen was primed for a fantasy breakout before going down. Put simply, it's a bummer.

I was fortunate. You have a very strong team
-
Phew....that was close
-
He might get 50 by himself the way things are going
-
If I can get 1200 and 8-10 TDs out of Ridley ill be happy and I'm still optimistic he will get that
-
Hey as a Ridley owner who wouldn't want Vereen? Not having him doesn't make me want "rid" of Ridley though. I'm sure Moz made a few weak trade offers to get Vereen but I kind of doubt him trying to trade Ridley to "everyone" and I also think he placed a high value on Ridley if he was unable to be "rid" of him before our trade

Vereen looked great yesterday. I'm judging both players over the last 17 games. Maybe I'll change my opinion by week 6 or whatever but I'm not going to go crazy over one game especially since Vereen is going in for surgery
-
No you got rid of him because you thought LeVeon Bell was the next Adrian Peterson
-
Part of the reason Vereen isn't better is because of durability. Guy can't stay healthy. Vereen has talent to be a nice passing down back but he can't hold up to a heavy work load IMO
-
No It really didnt. I don't overreact to one game
-
Good news for Ridley though
-
I put up 175 with Julius Thomas and Jordan Cameron on the bench. Also with Ridley getting benched and James Jones getting me zero. Give me a cookie

I'm not ready to panic on Ridley yet. Bellichick benched Vereen and Sudfeld in the 3rd preseason game as soon as they fumbled. He has a history of shutting players down for the rest of the game when they fumble only to have them reume their role the following week. They need a pounder at RB and Blount sucked. Vereen looked good but I don't think they want him taking that kind of load over a full season(though it would be good news for a couple of my dynasty squads). Bradshaw was eased back into action but I think his role in the offense will expand going forward. I may bench one of those RBs and roll with a double TE attack next week though.

Anybody need a TE for their line up? Hit me up
-
Trotting him out as a flex in a couple of PPR leagues

Good luck

I bid pretty high. I think over 100
-
It doesn't matter what Decker does when your QB scores 70
-
I guess I should be happy I didn't face Manning

Crap, Julius Thomas collecting splinters on my bench
