Anyone Risking Kenny Britt Tonight?
PewterFanatic replied to The Bag-O-Bones's topic in FFToday Board
I will be rolling with him tonight with Marshall on a bye. I only have 3 WR's on my roster and start 2 so I don't have much of a choice. I have stockpiled RB's and need to trade 1 or 2 of them for another WR. -
We must be Suckers for disappointing RB's!

Why does it seem like so many SJax owners also own Ryan Williams?
-
I too am rolling with Williams over SJax not because I think that Williams is a better back, but because the AZ D is that good.

Thanks for the info. In other words, Williams is not adept at pickintg up blockers. -

Do you know which RB they have been using in that no-huddle package? -

AZ hasn't faced a rush D outside of the top 15 yet and has not put much emphasis on the run. I expect this game to be close with both offenses leaning heavily on the run. The AZ run defense has been strong, but the STL D has struggled in rushing D and excelled in pass D. This will probably be the first time that Williams is given the opportunity to show us something. With the other options I mentioned at Flex, I won't be missing out on many point if Williams doesn't do a whole lot. Worth the risk, IMO. If he blowws up, you will look like a genius and if he does nothing, nobody will even take notice. -

I do not trust him yet, but I am going to roll the dice with him in the flex spot in two of my leagues. If he is ever going to shine, this will be the game. Starting him in the Flex spot over Steven Jackson, Spiller, CJ, and Hixon. -
It is worth noting that the Cardinals haven't faced a team out of the top 15 in rushing D yet. I expect to see a very different Williams against a porous Rams' rushing D. I would argue that none of the AZ RB's are worth owning if they don't do anything tomorrow night.

Not sure how you could draw conclusions from Ryan William's performance from this past weekend. They hardly ran the ball till the end of the game and Miami has a very tough run D. Powell got 2 carries. How can you be intrigued by that? Let's see what Williams does against the rams D this Thursday night.

Dropped him for Ryan Williams
-
I still don't believe it, but in 1 of my leagues an owner dropped him for Cecil Shorts of all players! Guess who had the #1 waiver priority. I now have Matthews going with Spiller and Doug Martin this weekend. Believe it or not, I was a bit torn on who I should claim because this same owner also dropped Fred Jackson at the same time. I wanted Jackson as a handcuff, but couldn't pass up on Matthews. While I put a claim on Jackson as well, another owner beat me to it. I went to that owner to talk a trade for Fred and he wanted Matthews in return.

I don't see them going a different direction at RB this year unless CJ gets hurt. They are paying him far too much money to bench him. It could turn into more of a commitee approach which would make all TN RB's worthless instead of just 1. I do see the possibility of them cutting their losses in the offseason if he doesn't drastically improve though. I also drafted CJ and have come to terms with the fact that I will have to ride it out with him or trade him for a 2nd or 3rd tier WR. I have even given thought to rolling with McGahee this week and benching him. Fortunately, I drafted Spiller late so I now have some depth at the position. I have Doug Martin as my RB2.

I am in 2 money leagues on CBS and waivers were processed in both. I am always surprised to hear of the problems so many others have with CBS because I have never had an issue and have been using them for more than 10 years. The cost of the site is beginning to turn me off though as it seems to keep going up. My have to start looking for alternatives next year.

This is definitely the direction I am leaning. I would just hate to look back on this decision in week 6 when everyone is talking about Ogletree lighting it up. I did this far too many times last year and am trying to avoid making the same mistake.
