  1. This is going to be fun. Goodbye Tebow tomorrow and Sanchez next year? Smith is a smart pick from the perspective that the Jets now have an OC can develop a quarterback, but his "fit" is questionable in the new offense. The Jets' situation is dire right now with such a poor supporting cast, but there's no doubt anymore that Sanchez MUST produce this season. Smith will have time to transition from the spread to the West Coast offense, but how long will it take the Jets to surround him with enough talent to allow him to succeed. He's going to be among the lowest-ranked redraft QBs (for good reason) and his dynasty upside is also somewhat limited.

how can sanchez produce on a team with so little help around him ... just put tebow back there and run the option ....even if they can get a pass off who is going to catch it ...

  2. Fantasy Football is all about opportunity. The starting RB on the worst NFL team is more valuable than the 3rd or 4th string RB on a good NFL team.

it's the reason so many people were jumping to the WW to pick up Rashad Jennings last season. It's not because he was a great player, it's because he was getting touches.

Chris Ivory, as long as he is healthy, will likely be getting a lot of touches for the Jets.

will like i said.. he has at this time very little ff value to me ...he is stuck in mud with the jets and seems like he cant stay healthy enough to be on the football field to get them touches you speak of .... not from what i have seen in the past from this player ..

  3. i think the jets and there fans should be very excited going into this next season ....that there is still only four teams in there divison .....so that they cant finish any worst then 4th ....the jets are a bad looking team and i think they don't win 5 games ....from what i see on paper so far ....

  4. I'm from Boston and a pats fan and I can't grasp why we got him? Ridley and vareen is fine...this has to bump Ridley down a bit

i think it bumps them all down ..looking at another three heaed rb job in boston imo ..hurts the value on all three i think alot

  5. Details to come. Ivory's fantasy value on the rise.

i don't see really that much of a big deal about ... he is a jet now and what does that mean ..less alot less help around him ..plus it seems he cant stay on the field seems hurt alot ...not much in ff value at this time for me ...

  6. The hype for Cook comes from the speculation that he will fill Amendola's role as the possession/outlet receiver. Cook has speed and playmaking ability. If he can also get allot of receptions, he's got a pretty high ceiling.

You know what you're getting with Myers. If you're drafting a backup TE, I'd take the one with the higher upside.

i dont see cook with the upside after the rams draft amendola replacement

  7. really?

explain to me how there is not more incentive to stay healthy when you are in a contract year

if DMC plays 14-16 games and makes the pro bowl, will he not get a bigger contract in free agency than if he plays 7 games and averages 3 ypc?

look dmc could play 16 and still avg just three yards per carry .....same old raiders like i said before ..they lost there starting qb they lost there starting te and they lost bey ...i dont see it getting any better ...then last season ....

  8. i just pray that when i am doing a draft ..that i do not have to be the guy needed a rb and it comes down to a jets rb ....they have no qb no wr no te no oline and now they just traded away there best def player ... i dont think they are even going to make it into the redzone all next season imo ...

  9. Right, stafford was drafted early thrid round in my league last year. He did not put up 3rd rd pts.

i don't know about that ..in must leagues i see the avg per round of qbs getting drafted would be three per round ..and last season stafford was 9th in fftoday points per game ....that would put him being drafted in the third round ..imo

  10. really?

explain to me how there is not more incentive to stay healthy when you are in a contract year

if DMC plays 14-16 games and makes the pro bowl, will he not get a bigger contract in free agency than if he plays 7 games and averages 3 ypc?

yeah really ..he might have more incentive to play better ...but to stay healthy ..i don't know how staying healthy comes from incentive ..i mean you either get hurt or you don't ...but incentive to put up bigger numbers i can see..

i mean if you play football i would think everyone even in a non contract season has the incentive to not get hurt i would think ...

i have incentive to stay healthy everyday and i am not in a contract year .......i just want to put up better stats imo ....now thats a incentive

  11. Question...in a heavy PPR league which player would you most likely go with, Trent Richardson or Calvin Johnson? We keep 1 FRANCHISE player. Really torn between the two. Have to decide by next weekend. Start 3 RB and 3 WR so there are less RB's to go around than WR. Tell me who you would go with and why please? Thanks...

i just don't know what it is about trent ..i am just not has high on him like others ....and wow c johnson is no question the best wr ..so with that said .... trent in fftoday avg 13.6 per game last season and c j in fftoday points per game avg was 14.2 ...much closer then i would like heh... so i say take the rb less of them to go around .

  12. i like some of the names already mentioned.

Eli Manning is a guy who might be drafted as a backup in 12 team leagues and can go for 4000 and 30. Im not saying those will be his numbers but he has that kind of upside throwing to Nicks and Cruz and he has a pretty high floor.

Darren McFadden is in a contract year. If ever he had incentive to stay healthy, the time is now.

michael Vick - ugh did i just say that?

two years ago i was dead on about Marshawn Lynch. Last year I was dead wrong about DHB. I've not identified that undervalued position player yet... that guy to go out and trade for at a low cost or to draft in the middle rounds. Or maybe i have :ninja:

dmf was 26th in avg per game points ..playes for the same old raiders ..same old problems ..and i would think the incentive to stay healthy is with every player every season imo.

  13. Don't have to be unknown sleepers, just guys that will out perform their ADP

    Sleepers:

QB- Andrew Luck (I think ADP will be rounds 8-10)

    TE- Dwayne Allen

RB- Jets RB (whoever takes over for Shonne Greene)

    Busts:

QB- Stafford (unless the lions get someone decent opposite megatron)

RB- CJ2K (Not what he used to be and in a crowded backfield)

stafford was 9th in avg per game points with tied luck ...and the past two seasons he has been up there in points ..and who have the lions had opposite c johsnon then ?? i think r bush will help him alot guy can catch and make big playes down field

  14. Busts:

QB: Tom Brady- Currently ranked in the top 3, look for the team to run the ball more than ever to take pressure off a weakened receiver core. Gronk and Hernandez are both currently recovering from injuries, and could struggle to stay on the field this season. Look for Brady to finish top 12, but not top 5.

Andy Dalton- Dalton started the season well before fading badly towards the end. Never an elite passer, look for him to struggle as teams have gotten a better read on his limitations. Don't be surprised if Cincy is looking for a QB a year from now.

RB: Alfred Morris- Took off last season after winning the starting job in training camp. Morris is a solid running back but doesn't seem to be an elite talent at the position. Given that he plays for The Rat, it's easy to picture him losing carries to the next project to come along. He's currently ranked in the top 10-12, and that really looks like a best case scenario for him. He could easily drop well below that mark.

Chris Johnson- His past two seasons should have been enough, but he still is being ranked in the top 15, sometimes in the top 10. He'll disappoint again this season, as he has every since getting paid a big contract. Look for him to have a bounce back season in the last year of this contract, if he makes it that long.

WR: Victor Cruz- Currently ranked in top 12, look for this contract problem to really mess with him and the team this season. Look no further than DeSean Jackson to see what kind of impact to expect out of this. Hakeem Nicks will be the primary beneficiary of things in NY.

Eric Decker- Currently a top 15 ranked WR, Decker looks like the 'odd man out' once Manning and Welker begin hooking up this season. Decker is talented and fits his role well, Welker simply fills the same role a little better. He'll have a few big games to keep his owners guessing, but will likely be a #4 WR in most fantasy leagues by mid-season.

TE: Rob Gronkowski- Ranked in the top 2 by just about everyone, look for him to struggle due to injuries again this season. He'll see extra coverage with Welker gone, and I expect the Pats to run the ball a lot more this season to protect it's weakened receiving corps.

Kyle Rudolph- Ranked in the top 5-8, Rudolph is a talented player who does everything pretty good, but nothing great imo. His teams passing game is too weak to project him as anything more than an intriguing back-up at this point, however.

    K: Who cares?

Def: Ravens- This defense struggled horribly from a fantasy perspective while Ray Lewis was out last season. No Ray Lewis, no Ed Reed, no way they end up in the top 6 where they are currently ranked.

i think v cruz is a better person then d jackson ..i don't think he will let his team down like d jackson did ...and h nicks just can't stay on the field ...if he can guy would be awsome i agree

  15.

revis of course is a great cover corner he helps the other dbs just from him being there ...if he can of course come back from his injury ... hard to say he can come back and have his speed and more important his foot work ..can he still cut on a dime ? only will know when he gets back on the field of course .. jets to me lost nothing revis did not want to stay so they lost a guy who was not happy coming back from a bad injury and he was gone after next season anyway ..right now the jets are the winner imo ..but both win if revis of course comes back and is still the same player before the injury ...

    moving up

i like qb p rivers .he avg per game was 18.0 last season has had two avg at best seasons ....and he ranked 19 in avg points per game ... i think he moves back up into the top 12 at least imo

    moving down

i think it will be b roethlisberger .. he ranked 11 at 21.3 avg points per game ..i see that moving down ..they have no play makers to help him out ..and the oline ...wow

    moving up

i like a brown rb gmen ...ranked 21 last season with a avg of 10.6 per game ..i think that he makes into the top 12 at least this season

    moving down

a morris he ranked 5th last season with a avg per game of 15.4 ...i just don't see him doing it again ..i think he falls out of the top 10

    moving up

i like t smith ..he ranked 25th with a 8.4 avg per game ..i think he takes a step up and can move him in ranking at least 10 spots into the top 15 imo

    moving down

v jackson he ranked 5th and avg 11.7 per game ......i dont see him in the top 10 this next season he moves down

    moving up

j finley ranked 20 with a 4.9 avg ..i think he goes back on the rodgers radar and gets them inside the red zone tds again

    moving down

o daniels ranked 7th last season with a avg of 7.2 per game ..i see him falling has the texans start looking at other te on there team one guy named graham ..so he falls out of the top 12 imo

  17. I'll make a case for Matt Ryan being a top QB. The Falcons offense was nearly unstoppable last year, except by themselves. Several times they ran out to big leads only to turtle into conservative mode, most notably in the playoffs. I have a sneaky suspicion that the Falcons may learn from this and decide to keep the hammer down throughout the game this year. Julio is in year 3, Roddy and Gonzo should still be great, and Jackson adds a receiving option at the primary RB.

He was #5 overall in FF points as per FFToday last year and there is no reason he shouldn't improve given his weapons. If my above theory plays out, he should make a strong run for #1.

like ryan alot to love his wr and te ..even through many think that once again

gonzo age will catch up to him .. in fftoday he really was tied with newton and rg3 at a 24 point per game avg ..right behind them was manning at 23.9 ..i like manning to pass the three of them up so i see ryan at 3 or 4 imo

  18. So many have been saying that Marc Trestman is a QB guru, what impact will this have on Jay Cutler's fantasy value this year?

Cutler still has Marshall, another year with Alshon Jeffery and Hester is finally back to KR/PR only. Also the addition of M. Bennett at TE is a huge improvement over stone hands Kellen Davis and adding Bushrod at LT improves a terrible O-line to just a bad O-line.

So where do you rank Cutler this year?

when you look at fftoday avg per game rankings from last season cutler ranks 22 of the qbs that are going to be starters this next season ..his avg per game was 16.7 just behind is kaepernick at 15.6 and t hill at 15.3 and both imo could be better then last yr ....... that could put him in the 24 spot ..

now with some of the points you made with trestman and m bennet and another yr with jeffery and forte back ..i can see him maybe moving up four or five spots maybe to the 20 spot at best imo ....yeah in a 12 team league late number two qb in a 10 team or less heck might not even get drafted unless you take a three qb imo

  19. I can see Myers putting up similar #'s as Bennett did last year. 55-626-5. Probably less, too many other options on that offense, especially with Nicks being back to healthy. Not to mention, Bennett started out hot and did very little the rest of the year. Eli's not going to eyeball Myers for games at a time like Carson Palmer did, either.

According to some reports, the Rams will be using a lot of 2 TE sets while utilizing Cook in the slot. I'm not a 100% sure what that means, but, it sounds good for Cook.

If Myers puts up similar #'s as Bennett did last year, you're looking at a very mediocre-ish top 12-14 TE. I'll pass.

I think Cook will easily eclipse that with the new team. The Rams didn't sign him so he can stand on the field and look pretty. They're going to use him.

still not sold on cook at this time ..and i agree that cook was not sign to sit ...buy neither was myers ....i think myers has the better season imo

  20. RBs:

    Mike Goodson or Jonathan Stewart?

    WRs:

    Cecil Shorts or Pierre Garcon?

    TEs:

    Brandon Myers or Jared Cook?

Who has the better year and why?

if de williams is let go ..its stewart ...

shorts ... if a player during the off season in april says he does not see himself playing at 100% because of injury thats not good news imo

myers ..i like what he did with the raiders ..and i just have a feeling he is going to be a very solid player with the gmen ....but...this is the toughest one to pick from imo

  21. Spelling nor grammar aren't weepaws strongest suits, but atleast we know how to rank players based on 6-team leagues. That's a plus, I guess???

yea ..sorry about that ..not the smartest tool in the wood shed ...i will try to do a better job ..forgive me ..
