playoffs looking good - go after Gordon to have him for playoff push?
RepoPatrol replied to atv22bball's topic in FFToday Board
I would put Gordon in the WR 15-20 range until he proves he is worth more. Come the fantasy playoffs he will probably be top 10. There is still much risk associated with his return. We don't even know for sure that Cleveland will bring him back for the last 5 games. Lamar Miller is the right value for Gordon. -
I've been offered combinations of Beckham / Garcon / Sankey and some other 3rd rate players. I've had him on trade block all season and no one wants to pay up for him. I have asked for guys like Miller, J. Bell, P. Thomas, etc. with me throwing in guys like Golden ( Glad no one took that one.) Trade dealine is next week so if i can't get a weekly starting RB I will keep him. I've needed a RB2 all along to back up Charles having drafted Gerhart and Pierce, but at this point one of : Ingram, TRich, and maybe Sims should get me through the year and to the promised land. Currently 5-3 because I didnt have Charles for a while and was getting less than 10 weekly points total from RB's but feel I will roll going forward. Julio's schedule is sick, so if Ryan is available you may consider him. Beginning week 12: Luck, Charles, RB2, Julio, Antonio, and Gordon when he comes back. We play 3 wr/TE each week. PPR. Dallas, SD, and Giants are my streaming DTs. This is the only tough week vs. Ariz, All others are against bottom 8 Offenses. Again consider these 3 if you are streaming.

Killing yourself while celebrating doesn't count. Plus that's soccer. Amazing that everyone in the stadium hasn't already killed themselves.

I like Lafell this week. As background didn't both the Pats and Broncos go after both Lafell and Saunders this off season? Could be similar to a revenge game in that respect. I like Lafell over Saunders this week because he still has more to prove.

I didn't trust any of these guys. Went with Sims instead. Will suffer with Ingram and TRich as my number 2 behind Charles until Sims gets up to speed.

Rest Of Way Rankings - Kniles Davis #16 Running Back
RepoPatrol replied to rsmnutt's topic in FFToday Board
Davis is valuable only to Charles owners like myself. He was as valuable to me as Asiata even when Charles was due to come back. Asiata has just come off a really good game in first time start so imagine his rest of way rankings were fairly high at that point. Neither is anywhere close to a 16 rank for most ffers at this point. That said the crop of RBs is extremely thin at the top level this year. -
If C. Johnson plays this week....do you sit him?
RepoPatrol replied to fantasy-guru's topic in FFToday Board
London. Of course he wanted to make the trip to London. Very doubtful he plays. It would be the stupidest thing the Lions have done in a long list of stupid. Anyone who thinks he comes back before the bye is nuts. Only exception would be if they gave him a start just for incentive purposes. in any case don't start him. -
I would start Allen over Sanu as soon as AJ gets back in the lineup.
-
Fock you Bill BellaChick. Relying on Vereen for the entire run game. hows that working out for you? Bolden must really suck on offense. I thought White looked good when he played. Maybe he called out BellaChick for being the a wipe/hole that he is.

If the trade went through before Bush was hurt then Rivers wouldn't have been so highly rated. I think it is likely that the now current Bell owner gets more active points for their season the rest of the way than Rivers provides for the other team. In that case it makes the trade fair.

My strategy with defenses the rest of the way.

Keeping them an extra week is always an option but I think Jax = NYJ. Worst two offenses in league. Need to get these teams on the roster asap. If i drop them no one else can pick them up and play them that week, so thats another plus. -
I think you lose the last 7 games and miss the playoffs. Sorry, but a premature climax is better than no climax at all.

Curently own Dallas, Pitt, NE. Cleveland was suppose to replace Dallas but got taken ahead of me on waivers. Batsards!@ Week 7 NE vs. NYJ Week 8 DAL vs Wash - Drop NE pick up Indy Week 9 DAL vs Ariz Week 10 PiT vs. NYJ - Drop Dal pick up NYJ Week 11 PIT vs. Ten Week 12 Indy vs Jax - Drop Pit pick up Ten Week 13 Indy vs. Wash Week 14 NYJ vs Ten Week 15 Ten vs NYJ Week 16 Ten vs Jax My league has oversized points for PA. Don't really like Dallas but it is best available. Both Ariz and Wash are bottom half NFL defenses. The rest of teh matchups are versus bottom 5 offenses. -
In looking at my schedule i see the NFL bye weeks extend all the way to week 12. So in the second to last regular season game owners are still battling byes. I think the NFL and fantasy would be better served if they instead limited bye to 4 weeks with 8 teams off each week. My league is 2 divisions of 5 teams, 1 week regular season schedule. CBS is always awful at making the schedule so i made my own tonight, should have done so at start of season or many seasons ago. The way my schedule is setup, the first rounds of conference games are played in the first 5 weeks. The last round of conference games are set up for weeks 9-13. Weeks 6-8 feature only non conference games. By neccesity each week of conference games will have one non-conference matchup. The way it stands with the NFL byes, byes will affect 7 of the 10 weeks of conference games. If the NFL went to 4 bye weeks only, then only one conference matchup week would be affected by byes. Just makes more sense to me. The non-conference weeks also would be a bunch of fun with the increased byes. Anyone agree with this? Do you think byes extending to week 12 is a bit too much?

Davis needs to throw to someone besides Pettis. For some reason he has a hard on for him this game. Niners are strating to key on him. -
Trades should be pushed through. If an owner wants to start a player in the trade on short notice then he should lay out a contingency plan if it gets vetoed. Problem with this is that let's say it was for TY Hilton and he puts up 30 points. Many would vote against just to take that 40 off the board. I never get more than 6 votes either way in my 10 team league, but always put it out for review. Because of the low voting we have had some trades go through that were very unfair. Cant get a majority to change the process either. $250+ per team on the line. Drives me batty.

I'm starting G. Tate over him. He is just too inconsistent. Wouldn't surprise me if he goes off on Monday night. I think Tate is overhyped this week, but floor is much higher..

Its all a racket with the people running the organization getting most of the money and for profit drug companies are the one swho benefit from any discoveries. These large charities make me puke. If the country was run properly we wouldn't need charities. Now back to Football..

I think you are dreaming that someone gives up a top QB for Hilton. Anyone with a brain knows that this is the top for Hilton and are not going to give you what you think he is worth. Garcon's best days are behind him. Can't even count on him for receptions any longer. As such i don't think you have room to trade away Hilton in the first place. If nothing else Hilton will be more consistent than last year. I also think Rivers is a sell high candidate although better than the garbage you have now. I also cant stand that you have someone elses back up RB on your roster. You also have Robinson with ingram coming back next week. You need to drop one of them and get Rainey and/or Blue if available. If they aren't, pick up Jax new starter Storm Johnson. Bradshaw and Martin are ticking injury timebombs. You will wake up one morning to only having one participating RB. Maybe sell high on Foster if you can get Storm Johnson. You should be able to get most any QB for him and he is another injury timebomb waiting to go off. I know this post will seem crazy to some...but time will prove this all out. Luck Charles S. Johnson Ingram Moreno J. Jones A. Brown M. Crabtree G. Tate J. Gordon Catanazaro Steelers Patriots

I don't think he plays this week. Should be good to go next week. When asked Thursday he says the brace gives him problems doing everything. catching, ball security, blocking, etc. Starting Week 8 he is the beast that he was last year. Top 15 RB minimum. Dropping him is a mistake.

ESPN stat correction changes game outcome, messes up wavier wire order.
RepoPatrol replied to jkil22's topic in FFToday Board
Resetting waivers each week makes the league more competitive. It also drives transactions which means more money in the league. Weaker teams need to make more moves to get competitive. Without resetting they will never get competitive, lose interest and then the league is replacing teams every year. If you are playing fantasy purely to win money then no resets are probably the way to go. If you are doing it for entertainment and friendship as well as money, then resetting is the way to go. My goal in helping to develop the rules is to keep as many teams as competitive as possible for as long as possible. The best teams / owners still finish at the top but the weaklings keep their interest much longer. Nothing worse than crunchtime comes and your closest competitors are playing teams that "quit" many weeks ago. -

RepoPatrol replied to jkil22's topic in FFToday Board
I think it is the responsibility of the commissioner to ensure the waiver order is correct each week. I have corrected ours weekly. I think i finally got the settings right going forward. In this case the waivers need to be unwound to reflect the proper order. Maybe as simple as swapping two players between teams? -
I am assuming it was an innocent mistake, but wholly believe his pickups never were entered in the site. He is in a few other leagues and I believe he got them mixed up. Every waiver wire probably looks pretty similar this week at least at the top. The last opportunity to overturn is if he can provide me with computer history showing he was actually on the 'player' page at some point in the last 2 days. I think he will have trouble providing that and will realize he screwed up and take responsibility at that point. i know I am much too generous to let it get this far. However i feel fantasy is more than about the money ($200 entry league + $5 transactions) and when possible I like to do what i can to keep friendships and competition as part of the league. That said unless I can get a bit more proof, this owner is going to lose out and the chips will fall where they may. Odds are these hot Rb's will flame out and he will be better off in the end.

Our waivers ran last night. The guy in the #1 spot claims his picks somehow got erased from the website so he picked up no one. Background This is a new owner in the league who drafted AP and Rice (supposedly Rice was a draft error although he declined to fix it during the draft when given the opportunity). He's 1-4 with little chance of winning with his current squad. He has also been the most active in the league transaction wise. I spoke with him during the week about his deep need at RB. At that time he says his waiver picks were already in and that Oliver was his #1 pickup. CBS has no listing for his waiver picks after the fact either. So the dilemna is do I believe him and do I manually redo the waivers process? Generally the guys in my league are understanding on these matters but someone will definitely be put in an undesirable situation when their waiver pickup gets reversed, which could also fee ddown to my pickup. . I also realize he could have just forgotten and is now pulling a stunt to save himself. Given the facts that we discussed and that he has been real active, i am leaning towards redoing the waivers. Would also like to keep him in the league going forward and this bad taste will probably prevent that if nothing is done. What would you guys do in this sutuation?
