United Healthcare CEO shot, killed in midtown NYC
Patented Phil replied to IGotWorms's topic in The Geek Club
This story is crazy! Assassination of an insurance CEO. Used a silencer. Going to be a huge story and could go in a number of different directions. -
I have no idea what this even means

Florida woman sentenced to life in prison for zipping her boyfriend in a suitcase for hours until he died

One of my buddies growing up put his little sister in the dryer for a few spins. Years later I heard her talk about it and she was still traumatized. -
COVID leaked from Wuhan lab, social distancing 'not based on science,' select committee finds
Patented Phil replied to Maximum Overkill's topic in The Geek Club
Sorry, but in hindsight masks just didn’t pass any type of reasonable cost benefit analysis. They were most effective at helping suppress the outflow of airborne pathogens from those infected who were coughing and sneezing. But there’s never been any good science showing worthwhile efficacy at preventing healthy people from becoming ill. There’s actually some evidence that masks may have contributed to healthy people contracting the virus (ie - people constantly touching their mask and facial areas with contaminated hands). Fauci even acknowledged this. -
COVID leaked from Wuhan lab, social distancing 'not based on science,' select committee finds
Patented Phil replied to Maximum Overkill's topic in The Geek Club
As with all things, it’s a matter of degree. I’m actually a big proponent of vaccinations, and personally I’ve never had a problem wearing a mask indoors around people. Truth be told, I’ve always gotten extremely annoyed when I see people hacking and coughing on an airplane or in a crowded place. Problem is, a lot of people on the Left took this to ridiculous extremes - like not allowing parents to watch their kids compete in outdoor sporting events. This happened well after the initial outbreak of the virus. Dumb, stupid, and yes - authoritarian nonsense. -

I do. But I disagree with: 1. Making vaccines a requirement. A lot of good people were fired and suffered financial hardships as a result of this atrocious authoritarianism. 2. Making people wear masks. Focking nonsense that was NEVER supported by science. 3. Prolonged social distancing. We created a huge swath of mal-adjusted children. 4. Schools snd governmental offices were closed for WAY too long. To this day my local Town Hall has never returned full-time. A lot of very lazy people use it as an excuse to bilk the system. 5. Politicization of the origin of the virus. For some reason Liberals went off the deep end to protect China. The lab leak theory was always the most likely. But because butt holes like Fauci had personal liability in this area, liberals and the mainstream media went out of their way to brand anyone who espoused the lab leak theory as crockpots and conspiracy theorists. It was one of the ugly ugliest forms of group-think that I’ve ever seen in my lifetime. China should be required to compensate the rest of the world for this disaster, and that was never even allowed to be discussed. -

Tim Hauck is that guy in the bar who takes the contrarian view on every single topic, just to be an argumentative dooosh. -

Once again, going out of your way to take the stupid side of an argument. Of course it’s a safety issue. -
If Democrats didn’t have double standards, they wouldn’t have any standards at all.

Now do the gun crimes.

You object to it because he lied about it - not because it is corrupt.

Nothing about this surprises me, including Tim’s idiotic take on it. Six times - six - that lying sack of shitt Karine Jean-Pierre said that iden would NOT pardon Hunter.

Hey Sharon - nobody listens to old white women. -
Better yet, just leave.

A couple? They just lost two games in two days to two unranked opponents. They lost three games all of last year.

People don’t hate color. They hate beliefs.
-
It’s really as simple as this. The majority of Americans despise it, and their voices vouldn’t have been any clearer in the recent election. DEI is DEAD. And America will be far better off without all that racist nonsense. Maybe we can now realize MLK’s dream - to judge people not by the color of their skin, but the content of their character.
-
I hate to disappoint you, but my beliefs are not coming from a position of ignorance. I’ve traveled extensively and I’ve interacted with a lot of different peoples and cultures. I’ve lived in diverse areas and homogeneous areas - urban and rural. The wisdom I’ve attained is clear and unmistakable - common beliefs make for better, more peaceful societies.
-
I dont want large numbers of Afghanis to immigrate into this country. I want my neighbors and fellow countrymen to share a similar baseline of common beliefs. You can call that whatever you want - ignorant, racist, xenophobic, hateful…. I call it smart.
-
I think it’s silly and childish to refrain from making generic value judgments on cultures, states, and other groups of people. It’s ok to criticize Afghani culture. Theres a lot to criticize there. You have no trouble criticizing Republicans, Trump supporters, and other groups that don’t align with your values.

I know for a FACT that an Isreali businessman in the US knew about the 9/11 plot the day before it happened. Take my word for it. People knew. Undeniable evidence that I had firsthand knowledge of, on 9/10. Still freaks me out to this day.
