***OFFICIAL Royals v Orioles ALCS Series Thread***
DBZFan2K replied to cmh6476's topic in The Geek Club
Hey all. Just dropping by real quick to congratulate cmh on his Royals getting to the postseason and putting on a hell of a show thus far. I thought of you when the Royals celebrated at home after beating the Angels. Here's hoping they go all the way, they're a lot of fun to watch. -
Brady to Moss, touchdown (x3)
-
I think after seeing the trainwreck that is The Colts Without Peyton Manning, I'm inclined to give an emphatic vote of confidence to Peyton Manning for MVP.
-
Haha, suckers! Yeah, Brady was a disappointment in a week when Brees, Warner, and Favre did their part in assassinating their owners' chances. My team still overcame that and made it to the championship game, where Brady's 4-TD performance delivered the championship for yours truly. Anyone that "lost because of Brady", sucks to be you, draft a better team next time. For those of us who rode Brady's performance to the title, no regrets. ===== Reverse Brady trolling aside... I will agree that guys like Rivers, Schaub, and Romo delivered at a lower price, so there is disappointment in that regard. But those hoping for Top 5 numbers coming off ACL surgery got what they were wishing for, and anyone hoping for more than that was being delusional.

So next years first 12 picks are kinda obvious ...no?
DBZFan2K replied to The Moz's topic in FFToday Board
My early Top 12: Chris Johnson (Ten - RB) Adrian Peterson (Min - RB) Maurice Jones-Drew (Jac - RB) Ray Rice (Bal - RB) Steven Jackson (StL - RB) DeAngelo Williams (Car - RB) Michael Turner (Atl - RB) Jamaal Charles (KC - RB) Frank Gore (SF - RB) Rashard Mendenhall (Pit - RB) Reggie Wayne (Ind - WR) Andre Johnson (Hou - WR) Notes: The first 10 picks are workhorse backs. I see #1 as obvious, #2 and #3 as swappable, #4 and #5 as safe bets, and #6 thru #10 as all interchangeable. D-Will is the only guy who really has to look over his shoulder (Stewart) but he's still putting up Top 10 numbers and will be 27. Don't expect Willis McGahee to repeat his Leroy Hoard impersonation in 2010. Charles may be a surprise being listed but there's always that "unproven stud" that goes late in the first every year. I think he and Mendenhall fall into that category. They have tremendous upside and the job all to themselves. Mendy ends the string of RB1's for me. Thomas Jones has been a stud this year, but he'll be 32 next year and thus will likely drop to the second round. Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams offset each other and become risky as RB1's. Cedric Benson, Ryan Grant, and Joseph Addai are high-end RB2's but I don't see them going in the first. No quarterbacks in the first round. I see a lot of people picking Drew Brees there, but Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers are having seasons every bit as good as Brees. I see these three going in the second round, with a chance of Tom Brady joining this group with a strong finish to the season. Wayne and Johnson are somewhat interchangeable. I went with Wayne as his numbers are better overall, but Johnson's close and he's done it with a better YAC. I see Larry Fitzgerald as a viable replacement for either guy. Brandon Marshall and Randy Moss make up the next tier. Could include Wes Welker if he raises his TD totals by the end of the season. The Dallas Clark/Antonio Gates/Vernon Davis TE tier will likely show itself come Round 3. Round 2 will be dominated by the high-upside RB2's, the cream of the WR crop, and the aformentioned QB's. -
I benched him and he scored 2 TD's. I'm so glad I have great WR's to make up for my epic bad luck with RB's
-
If Jackson does break out this week, it will be on my bench. Rivers-to-Gates is clicking again, and Jackson has been M.I.A. for the most part for the last 4 games.

Who likely just ended their fantasy season...
DBZFan2K replied to Blue Martini's topic in FFToday Board
My season probably ended starting MENDENHALL. -
Has this been the worst overall year for running backs?
DBZFan2K replied to Kent's topic in FFToday Board
RBBC is definitely rampant these days. Here are teams that are using 3+ RB rotations: Patriots: Laurence Maroney, Sammy Morris, Kevin Faulk, Fred Taylor (injured) Texans: Steve Slaton (IR), Chris Brown, Ryan Moats Raiders: Darren McFadden, Justin Fargas, Michael Bush Cowboys: Marion Barber, Felix Jones, Tashard Choice Redskins: Quinton Ganther, Rock Cartwright, Marcus Mason Saints: Pierre Thomas, Mike Bell, Reggie Bush Buccaneers: Carnell Williams, Derrick Ward, Earnest Graham Falcons: Michael Turner (injured), Jason Snelling, Jerious Norwood Most teams have a two-headed attack that make it harder to predict Bills: Fred Jackson, Marshawn Lynch Dolphins: Ronnie Brown (IR), Ricky Williams Ravens: Ray Rice, Willis McGahee Browns: Jerome Harrison, Chris Jennings Broncos: Knowshon Moreno, Correll Buckhalter Chargers: LaDainian Tomlinson, Darrell Sproles Giants: Brandon Jacobs, Ahmad Bradshaw Vikings: Adrian Peterson, Chester Taylor Panthers: DeAngelo Williams, Jonathan Stewart Cardinals: Tim Hightower, Beanie Wells Seahawks: Justin Forsett, Julius Jones -
Jamal Anderson in the first round in 1999.

Oakland Raiders vs. opposing RB's (total yards/TD's) Wk 1 v SD: Tomlinson 56/1; Sproles 66/1 Wk 2 @ KC: L.Johnson 119 Wk 3 v Den: Buckhalter 108; Moreno 90/1 Wk 4 @ Hou: Slaton 89/2; Moats 56 Wk 5 @ NYG: Bradshaw 165/2; Jacobs 75 Wk 6 v Phi: Westbrook 141 Wk 7 v NYJ: Greene 144/2; T.Jones 124/1 Wk 8 @ SD: Tomlinson 56/2 Wk 10 v KC: Charles 117/1 Wk 11 v Cin: Scott 151 Wk 12 @ Dal: Barber 102; Jones 69/1; Choice 67 Wk 13 @ Pit: Mendenhall 103/1 It's between a healthy Ganther or a banged up Forsett (and an idiotic Mora Jr's love for JJ). Going with Ganther against the Raiduhs.

"Chad Pennington doesn't want any part of fantasy football..."
DBZFan2K replied to DEEZNUTS's topic in FFToday Board
PENNINGTON!!!11! We can't be the only members who got this joke, can we? -
That much I agree with. The West is deeper, and the Spurs, Suns, and Mavericks will contend for the title each season. But when the West meets the East in the Finals, nothing is guaranteed. The Pistons and Heat are recent examples that the West can be toppled.
-
I was joking about the assclowns who constantly complain about the Pats running up the score. You can see how ridiculous it all is especially when you bring that into different sports. Celtics crushed them today, and they didn't even try in the second half.
-
Denver's supposed to be a pretty good team, and they've been schooled by the Knicks and Celtics in back-to-back games. Also, CELTICS RUNNING UP THE SCORE!!!! Act like you've been there!
