If its McDaniel you're talking about, my son acts very giddy about the chance of him becoming he KC OC. I don't see it happening, not when hard-headed Andy won't let anyone else call plays.

I guess it surprised me our league ran so late when I looked at our settings, so it makes sense to me to shorten the season. Also still very much on board of adding owners.

I skim over a lot of crap on here I find annoying. You could do the same

Apparently the Buccaneers will not let Mike McDaniel leave the facility, keeping him in a small containment room on the pirate ship and occasionally bringing him vapes and sweet treats until he agreed to a deal.

weird they wouldn't tear down the apocalyptic buildings with trees and shrubs growing on the roof

I'm hearing a Mike Kafka reunion with the Chiefs is very possible as Nagy isn't under contract next year.

Looks like last year's thread was started a year ago today... In

Royals Announce Two-Year Contract with Salvador Perez The Kansas City Royals tonight announced a two-year contact agreement with catcher Salvador Perez through the 2027 season. “Salvy is a Royals legend and one of the most important players this franchise has ever had,” said Executive Vice President/General Manager J.J. Picollo. “We had the option for next year, but everyone knew we wanted to make sure his legacy with us continued longer than that. We appreciate Salvy’s commitment to the Royals, and we’re just as excited as our fans.” Perez, 35, is a nine-time All-Star, five-time Rawlings Gold Glove Award winner, five-time Silver Slugger Award winner, the 2015 World Series Most Valuable Player and the 2024 Roberto Clemente Award winner. In 2023, Perez was named the fourth Captain in franchise history.

And the SLU kid was with 4 schools in 4 years. No loyalty to the program and I'm sure the fact he wasn't hanging around long could have raised some red flags.

Tomlin helped the Royals win the world series

Looks for a certain school, swims away

It did a great job helping me review a program site questionnaire i just used for work. Would have taken me a few hours to get the way I wanted with formatting and everything and it was done in a matter of minutes using chatgtp. I also like the way it helps with travel planning, reservations, etc

I would also much rather have a fair ball/ strike system than an umpire that is influencing the game by squeezing a pitcher who is effectively painting corners or inflating the strike zone to make a batter adjust his approach or angel salazar.

you can keep them. And Mizzou.

I'm still pondering this... In on the deferred contracts. Also don't like that in the NFL. Just seems like maneuvering to get around the salary cap. I also like the idea of shared revenue on TV deals, and I want to be able to watch my local market through local programming, whether that's cable, satellite, fiber or whatever. Give the fans access to their local teams. I don't really see how you would ever contract the league. I assume no team would volunteer for this, and it feels like more cities want teams like Nashville, Portland, Salt Lake, etc. I guess you're against adding two teams if that's the only way you go back to AL mostly plays the AL and NL mostly plays the NL. I think you're just going to have to accept the DH thing. It means more money for players with a guy that can just hit on every roster. And I'm not so down on the pitch clock, and am open to automatic strike zones or a challenge system. I'm also not adamant they must stick, either.

Did you tell it thanks? I usually do.

Do you think these types of changes would improve the enjoyment of the game and league from the casual fans perspective? Or just make it more enjoyable for you and other baseball traditionalists?

Another look at me thread (R) Driving 3 hours, getting a hotel room, sitting at a random table of probably 8 in which i likely don't know anyone else at the table. Yet I still don't post in any of your dumb political threads

what would you hope to come out of a strike that would improve the game?

Test how those dimensions play in the KC weather, atmosphere, etc. Give the coaches and players a feel for if they like playing with a shorter team for their home environment. Because that feedback could play into how the new dimensions are designed in the new stadium, based on the feedback from moving them in based on the data. Maybe I'm just confusing myself Also, I could see scenarios where in addition to BWJ... Maikel Garcia, Vinnie Pasquantino, Jac Caglianone, and Carter Jensen all are still playing for the team in 2031, and that's a core group of this year's roster

There's no cap, it's not your money, and bad business decisions don't seem to stop them from spending in the future. I'm not sure what the problem is if you're a fan of teams with a top 10 payroll.
