What league are you in Rice? What is your team name?
-
I would not be too worried about getting burned. Most QBs still lack the skills to throw the deep ball effectively. I'd concentrate on covering medium routes and try to jump passes for INTs. If the team has a QB that is in the level 14+ area, then I might be a little bit worried but until then, just sit back and pick him off all day.

Good list. I'm not old enough to have seen Unitas or Tarkingtong so I don't really have an opinion on them but I think either Marino, Farve or Elway could be #1. Personally I think Elway is the best ever. The way he carried the Broncos in the 80's was amazing. I think just about everyone here would be hard pressed to name a Broncos receiver or running back from the 80's (without using the internet!). He carried three teams to the superbowl that would have been 3-5win teams without him. But of course, I'm a Denver homer so I may be a little biased.

Just started a new 12 team dynasty league with some friends of mine. It's a PPR league starting QB 2RB 3WR TE FLEX D K. We had a 19 round draft where we could not draft rookies and then a 4 round draft where we could take rookies as well as any vets that were left over. I had the 2nd overall pick and ended up with this team: QBs: Leinart Grossman RBs: SJax MBIII Fred Taylor Morency Maurice Morris Michael Bennett Brian Leonard WRs: Holt Walker Branch Reggie Brown Matt Jones Eric Moulds Lelie Dwayne Jarrett TEs: Ben Watson Vishante Shiancoe K: Gotskowski Feely D: Bills Rams How did I do? I think that I may have to try and upgrade a RB but I am not sure who to go with. Should I try to trade away a WR and grab another RB for my flex position or should I stick with starting 4WRs all year?

I'd give the ever so slight edge to Team 2 because of the flex position. I think his RB3 is slightly better. In the end, I think it is going to come down to who can stay healthy. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...p;#entry3245347

You have a few guys on that list that could turn out to be very suprising. I think that you are going to be hurting later in the year as I think MBIII and AP are going to start getting more of the load on their teams as the year moves on. I would try to package J. Jones and C. Taylor in a trade after week 3 or 4 when they are still giving some decent productivity and in my opinion will have about as high a stock as they will reach. I think the pick of Turner came a bit early in a redraft but if something happens to LT your team will be DRAMATICALLY improved. Overall I would say keep your eye on the suprise waiver pickups each week and see if you can grab someone to fill that Flex position with some consistancy. I think that you are going to have to stay healthy to have a shot but if you are on top of the WW you still have a chance. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...p;#entry3245347

I would not make that trade personally. I think that the risk of losing McNabb is higher than the reward you would get going from Jackson to Jacobs (if any). http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...p;#entry3245347

Take the trade and start: RB - McGahee Flex1 - T. Jones WR - Chad Johnson Flex2 - Ward (until you see what type of production AP is going to give... if he starts to really produce, stick him in here.) http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...p;#entry3245347

Go RB/RB... The drop off from 12/13 - 36/37 is much larger at the RB position than it is at the WR position. 12th is a hard place to draft from this year. Good luck.

Should I get a top notch defense, or Michael Turner?
Kanil replied to oban14's topic in A Little Help!
How big of a scoring difference is there between the Defense you will get in the 1st and 3rd rounds? I personally don't think that it would be enough to justify passing on a guy that could be your #1 back for years to come (even if he does not do much this year). I'd take Turner. -
I am in a new dynasty league this year and was curious as to where Turner has been going? I know he isn't going to help me much this year but he could be a stud for years to come if I am willing to sit on him for a year. I draft second and am either taking Sjax or LT2 and most likely another 2 RBs second and third. I personally believe in playing to win now but I think that Turner could be too much to pass on with my 4th pick if he is available. I don't want to overpay for him either. Where do you see him getting drafted? Should I do it at 4/5 or wait longer or scoop him up earlier? PS - This is a 12 team PPR league starting QB/2RB/3WR/Flex/TE/K/D-ST

I don't think that you understand the psychology behind domestic violence. Most victims of domestic violence go through years of psychological abuse before they ever get physically abused. They have their self esteem and freedom removed little by little, at almost unnoticable levels until, in their minds, they have no choice but to stay with their abuser. Most of the time, the abuser isolates the victim from their family and friends, in many cases moving thousands of miles away, in order to prevent them from being able to leave easily. Lets think of it like this: Option 1: Your 24 year old daughter, after years of psychological abuse, gets a beating from her boyfriend. Option 2: Your dog gets drowned. Which would you choose?

I would do this. You're still going to be able to get a good RB at 1.6 and then you will have the 2.5 and 2.8 picks along with the 3.3 pick. You should be able to get 1 stud RB, 1 good RB, and 2 good QBs. With you only having 1 RB slot + the flex I think that this is a no brainer. I'd take the trade before he changes his mind.

Which pick is his first round pick?
