Grabbing the backup RB in that KC offense is a no brainer. If that guy is Williams? Then he is a great late round pick up. I got him in the 14th. If it doesn't pan out...no biggie. That's what late round picks are for.
-
Gronk and Johnson seem to be the popular choices. Although, I struggle with maybe taking Hill and losing a 10th. I hate to give up my 3rd round pick. Plus, Gronk wont have Brady for 4 games. Think that will matter?

Im in a 12 team, 2 keeper league. QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, R/W/T, TE are the positions. Non-ppr. Standard scoring. We keep two players from the previous year. We lost the draft pick one round earlier than where they were drafted the year before. FA pick ups would forfeit a 10th round pick. Here are my options: Brandon Marshall (lose 4th) J. Hill (lose 10th) T. Rawls (lose 10th) D. Johnson (lose 12th) Gronk (lose 3rd) J. Gordon (lose 10th) OBVIOUSLY keeping David Johnson is a no-brainer. So I guess I only need help in the other keeper. Which should I keep? Thanks for the replies!

So which is the odd man out this week? I can start three so which do I choose? Im leaning towards Lloyd and Hixon but not sure between Hartline and Amendola. Its a non-ppr league BTW.

I know what you mean. I drafted CJ in the first round and just like CJ, I now find myself 'Obama-ating' and blaming everything and everyone else for choosing him over more productive players...rather than just accepting responsibilty for my stupid decision!

Im picking 5th in a 14 team league. The positions are as follows: QB RB WR WR TE FLEX (rb/wr/te) K DEF. I KNOW Brady and Rodgers will be gone (PACKER and PATRIOT fan)...so I would have either McCoy, Rice, or Foster fall to me. Question is...do I take the guarantee at RB or go Brees or Megatron? Passing TD's are worth 5 pts and rushing TD's are worth 7. The fact that you only need ONE starting RB tells me to just draft safe and grab the top RB...but Im not sure any of the stud QB's will fall back to me in the 2nd round. Thought?
-
Would you start him or Murray? I already have Bryant and Witten starting. I'm worried about starting three Cowboys.
-
I actually just got him in a six player trade. I gave away Vick, S. Jackson, and Green for Rivers, C. Johnson, and Hillis. I also have Wells and D. Thomas. What appealed to me the most was that the three guys I got have already had their bye weeks. Plus, I dont have to stress every Sunday and wonder if the next hit on Vick will be the one to knock him out for good. I think Hillis can be a good #2 the rest of the way.

Frankly, I think 10 team leagues are a joke. Everyone drafts a stacked team with good backups, there are always plenty of players on the waiver wire to pick up, and its harder to trade b/c most teams are not going to be in a desparate situation at a skills position (unless they lose several players to injuries). Not to mention the draft is not as exciting b/c there are always players available at least through the first 10 rounds (10 team league has top 100 players to draft through 10 rounds/ 14 team league has roughly 7 rounds to select same top 100 players). In my opinion, 10 team leagues are for amatuers who are new to FF or for more casual players...for those who dont check their teams but once a week or so. I honestly believe I could just have my team auto picked and still remain very competitive in a 10 team league. I play in three leagues, two are 12 team and the other is a 14 team. The 14 team is BY FAR my most favorite. Im the type of FF players who analyzes his team every day, reads articles, reviews chats, comteplates trades, etc. The draft is the BEST part b/c the men are truly separated from the boys. The people who prepare more are usually the ones with the better teams after the draft. Plus, the are only a handful of players off of waivers who may actually contribute to your team (ie. Vick, Hillis) throughout the year. Trading is exciting b/c teams are usually more in need (at the skills positions) as the season goes on due to injuries and lack of depth. Its difficult to field a team with great starting players AND good starting backups at every skills position in a 14 team league. You may focus on RB's in the draft and have quality backups...but as a result you left yourself weak at WR. So if one of your starting WR's gets hurt, then that could be detrimental to your team...whereas you could just plug in the next stud WR into your lineup in a 10 team league. You could also look at it like this...10 team leagues are equivalent to someone playing poker with change (nickels, dimes, quarters). You dont have to be that good, you can play loose, and at the end of the day you may only lose $5-$10 dollars. This is ideal for beginners and can be very enjoyable. 14 team leagues are equivalent to playing poker $25-$50 no limit hands at a casino. The competition is better, the play is tighter, and usually the people who know what they are doing end up winning in the long run. Sure, a beginner can get lucky, just like in FF. Some rookie can join a 14 team league and win it all too. It happens, but for my money, its 14 team leagues all the way! I just wish I could get my other two leagues to switch!

Im thinking about taking Rodgers #1 overall in my draft on Monday night. We do 6 pts per TD pass, 1 pt per 25 yds, and a 3pt bonus at 300 yards passing. Plus he's good for 400-500 yds rushing. I almost think he is more valuable than any RB. Good move?

6th year keeper league on CBS looking for 3 owners
Gatorclan3 posted a topic in Find A League, Fill A League
I am in need of a couple of new members for my CBS fantasy football keeper league. Entry fee is $100. The league is a 12-team league with two divisions. Every person is allowed to keep three players from their team that were drafted after round 3 the previous year. Otherwise, it works like any league. We have an online draft and play head-to-head each week. Six teams make the playoffs, with the top two division teams getting a 1st round bye. Week 16 is the championship and the winner gets $750 and 2nd place gets $300. The remaining $150 goes into the price of the league. We allow trades throughout the year. The waiver wire is a blind bidding auction style, where each team gets $1000 to use towards bidding on free agents. Once the $1000 is gone, then you cant make any more moves. Draft date: TBD Scoring: standard scoring system Positions: QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, K, DEF + reserves Playoffs: weeks 14-16 We lost several members of this league over the summer. Some left b/c of a new job, one has a baby, another lost his job, etc. It has been a hectic summer. So I decided to start over. Nobody will have keepers this year. You are NOT taking over another team. You will have your own team. We will have a draft and play the season. You will then have all off-season to decide who to keep for the following year. If interested, contact me via email for more information. If you decide to join, I will immediately send you an invite. As soon as I have 12 members, then I will set a draft date. Im targeting the 27-28th of August or 3-4th of September. My name is Don and my email is twinsdad08@gmail.com -
Ive got a HUGE decision on my hands this week. Which 2 RB's do I start? I am pretty sure CJ will be in my starting lineup this week but what about the other one? I really dont want to start AP. Moreno seems like the best choice for me but the Broncos look horrible. Do I dare start Stewart then? Help!

Mid-Season FINAL 4 Predictions & SB Winner

Ive been getting a lot of offers for Gates. I really dont want to trade him...but I am scared of all these injuries mounting up. I know he has a bye this week and that will help. However, is it better to deal him now or just wait it out and hope for the best? How effective will he be after the bye? They will eventually have Floyd and V. Jackson so there wont be such a dependency on him later in the season. However, Rivers is throwing like a mad man and will continue to do so. What do you think?
