I like Cinci. Baltimore is trash af.
-
Problem with Eagles is that their secondary was trash af last year and hasn't been tested against #1 offenses in the preseason. They've played only 15 snaps or something against first team passing units. Atlanta has a pretty dynamic passing game and that secondary could be exposed. Their run D is firmed up and their pass rush should net a sack or three and a maybe a turnover, but if you get penalized for points against its kind of a crapshoot.

I'm rolling out the Bengals week 1 v. Oakland. Auction draft and I budgeted $1. Miami went for, like $3, but they were my target. Hitting the wire for week 2.

FAAB strategy? I don't know what is reasonable.

Just and FYI for folks who use FAAB on MFL. You can actually check to see what people bid after the FAAB process runs. I discovered this last year and use it to my advantage. Just go to Reports-->Franchise-->Previously Processed Waivers. -
The Giants look so damn bad though.

The only significant work he got last year was in the Bears game when Stacy got injured in the first half. So, while his YPC may be "highest of any back in the NFL" last season (edit: it wasn't), that doesn't really mean much given his limited body of work (47 attempts on the season). And Stacy went off in the first half of that game. Chicago's run D was atrocious.

Tim Whatever was TE14 in my PPR league last season in Tampa's dogshit offense, which is just a shade better than Sudfeld's finish. I'm not suggesting that he'll do the same or better this year, but I think he's worth a flier to see how it shakes out if you have the space.

Tim Wright - TE/WR Tampa Bay, the next Colston's rookie year on Yahoo?
Dungheap replied to Giants Fan's topic in FFToday Board
Tim Wright will follow the likes of Leonard Hankerson, Eddie Royal and Donnie Avery. Each of those guys ate up the horrible Eagles secondary and then disappeared. -
Manningham is on the field a hell of a lot more than Cruz. Week 5 Manningham was in for 61 snaps while Cruz was in for 38. Week 6 Manningham was in for 53 snaps to Cruz's 24, and that's after Cruz had a huge stat line week 5.
-
Cruz played 38 snaps in week 5. Manningham played 61 of 67. Cruz ran 33 routes, Manningham 41. I wouldn't go dropping him yet.

It's pretty much the same offensive unit as last year and Hernandez and Gronk, while productive, were not studs on a weekly basis. "Weapons" was an overstatement, but I expect Brady to spread the ball around like he did last year and the running game to be more involved than it was last night. Miami's defense was exhausted and Brady torched them. If you think Tom Brady is going to pass for 500 yards every week and that Hernandez will be a TE1 on a weekly basis, go for it. I just don't see it happening based on past performance.
-
I'd be cautious about Hernandez on a going forward basis based on last year's numbers. Through the first three games last year, Hernandez had a 13-211-0 line and looked like a breakout candidate. In his last eight games (excluding week 17), he had a 18-208-6 line, which included a stretch of three games where he caught a total of 2 passes for 26 yards. Don't get me wrong, the TD numbers were nice and this isn't last year, but I wouldn't expect his production to keep at this level throughout the season given the number of weapons in the Pats offense.

After picking up Jennings, I have no idea who I'm going to start to compliment Ray Rice. I have to choose two of Jennings, Felix Jones, Tashard Choice and ADP. With ADP's status uncertain, I'm thinking of benching him notwithstanding that I also have Gerhart. With the Cowboys playing tomorrow and the Vikings on Sunday night, I don't have the luxury of finding out if MJD or ADP are starting before I make my decision. Not sure what to do.

I picked up Jennings and now have to pick two of Jennings, ADP, Felix Jones and Tashard Choice to compliment Ray Rice. The trouble is that the Cowboys play tomorrow and the definitive word on MJD won't come until Sunday morning. I'd hate to leave Choice and Jones on the bench and have MJD give it a go.

I'm glad I put Peterson in my flex spot. Now I have to decide between Gerhart and Johnny Knox. I'll likely roll with Gerhart.
