TNF Discussion: Seahawks @ Bears - Week 17
plasma george replied to Mike FF Today's topic in FFToday Board
The lack of production was from 2 offenses playing in a cold/rainy/night game in Soldier Field, on a short week (Owners should vote to ban TNF games) Both offenses were great 4 days ago, against arguably the two best Defenses in the NFL. -

Oh, I'm not saying they can't "attempt" passing, they have to, to keep Defenses from stacking the Box, but it's much more difficult. Geno 160yards/0TDs (vs 314/3TDs VS Vikings D last week) Williams 122yards/0Tds (vs 334/2TDs VS Lions D last week) -

For someone who doesn't watch the games, did you know it was mostly in freezing rain ? As someone who also played the game, it's tough on QBs and WRs to have the precision needed when the ball is wet, your hands are wet, field is wet/muddy/slippery, and visibility is more challenging., these bad weather games are forced to goto the Running game, I didn't see any down field passes. People want these Dec/Jan outdoor games, two gunslinger QBs with a suite of WRs, this is the product you get.....see Vikings/Lions/Colts -
I don’t know what’s going on with Tua, maybe concussion brain he can’t make quick decisions im in the Final Four and playing Rodgers
-
Sucks, really needed him in Playoffs. I'm in the same boat, I wish they'd rule out Kamara, that makes Kendre a solid start. Or do I role with Swift vs DET ?
-
My bad meant jones ….vs Lawrence
-
Insane scoring format, so 450 yards is 45 points, for just the yards. That's putting Winstons BS losing/garbage time games with Barklay/Henry/Jacobs (MVP) type games, more like Fantasy/Video game football then Reality.

Hold up can I get an effing ruling here?
plasma george replied to cyclone24's topic in FFToday Board
Agree, once a players game starts, CBS locks him (grays him out) wherever he is on your roster, can't Start/Bench, can't Drop. -
Almost relieved I won't be sarting him, and watching his 3yard receptions, and no TDs...may not be all on him, he's stats are worse when Love is in there.
-
Ony help you can get is from a crystal ball to tell you how those Gamescripts will go, to yield FGs vs TDs, great League move 5 years ago was to Drop Kicker position.

Dowdle or JSN (or Guerendo, I guess) @FLEX? PPR
plasma george replied to IMMensaMind's topic in A Little Help!
I'm starting Guerendo over Swift, FWIW -

I’m thinking Steve McNair -
Tough one, Detroit D is tough, Tua had 360yds in his last cold game at GreenBay, now he home in warm Miami. Coin Flip

I don't think so, in the movie, the letter Doc wrote he asked them to "respect my wishes", repair the Delorean, and return to 1985. He loved shoeing horses and fixing wagons, wonderful way to spend my retirement years. It wasn't until they saw the tombstone, and Doc said "What kind of a future do you call that?", then Marty said, "Once you repair the Delorean, I'm going back to 1885 and bringing you home"
-
Haha, Yes it was Copernicus !, I'm a BTTF freak. In 1885, if Doc and Marty weren't checking out the RR bridge, they wouldn't have been there to rescue Clara, she would've gone over the Ravine and her and Doc wouldn't have met, her name couldn't have been on Doc's tombstone in 1955.

I went back to the box score that week, Gibbs was creditted for a Receiving TD -

It was Goff to St. Brown to Gibbs, against Cardinals this year. (google is your friend). Goff got the passing TD and Gibbs got the receiving TD, so I guess Allen's score is correct, getting both the passing TD and receiving TD. -

Didn't St. Brown get a hook and ladder TD earlier this season ? I believe the other WR got the reception and yards (from the catch), an St Brown got rushing yards and a rushing TD. -

Yes, a batted pass is different, that wasn't a reception by another player, that's happened before, but this reception and lateral, not a forward pass. Cooper made the reception, but Allen gets awarded receiving TD ?...that's what makes no sense. -

Where do you see NFL.com agrees ? If the NFL agrees then the stat line should be corrected on Tuesday -

I thought he was wrapped up by two defenders, and his forward progress stopped, the play was over.....I think he was pushed back at least one yard, maybe two. -
Hoping Lawrence is OK, Engram is better with him, they also played tough Texans D. Great Username, What was Doc Browns dog's name in 1955 ?

Also dumb they didn't blow the play dead, he was wrapped up and being pushed backwards. -

League mates are freaking out. Does seem odd. Is that the official NFL rule ? Thought it would be Allen rushing TD, Josh received a backwards lateral, not a forward pass, and not a batted back pass that he ran for a TD. He would get the receiving yards for the distance his forward pass traveled, but not credit for a passing TD.
