    DJ Chark signs in Detroit

10 mil was probably the highest he was offered, double his entire career earnings to this point. The most important reason. He also becomes the top option at his position on the team. He's betting on himself, prove health, and will hit the market next year. He definitely could of found a longer, lower annual value contract on a better team if that was his concern

    Skibum - Axe Elf bet

greatest, most AB ending this bet could have possibly had!

    Skibum - Axe Elf bet

A bet is a bet. Who gets the 50 bucks is what matters, its going to come down the the final week of the season most likely. AB is obviously the superior player but that's irrelevant in who is going to win the bet

Lesean McCoy: Biggest Bust in FF History?

i used to think these threads ruined the forums, but they are invaluable in pointing out who is a total idiot
  7. My biggest issue is that the 100k fine is so much more than any other fine handed down to players in the NFL, no matter what they do. Not talking to the media after the game is worse than cheap shotting some guy five or six times? Abusing a ref? driving drunk? gimmie a break. I honestly don't care about the post game pressers for the players, though i can understand it. but to fine him that much is ludicrous. I hope lynch continues to give yeah/nope interviews, good for him

    Any updates on Gio

this although depending on gio's health, we could get updates from the team or local beat writers depending on how much he practices. also, for all you focktards that want to argue each others useless opinions, i think hill will get 72.21 percent of the load with gio getting the remaining 27.79 percent, mainly screens and pitches. discuss i guess?

    Any updates on Gio

considering they drafted both guys early in consecutive years, you'd have to think they have a plan. looks like a cut and dry early down/receiving back split. the guy that can pass block will be the "starter" i think the two back system works in the nfl and that one, or both these guys will have RB2/flex value. lets wait until practice before we start predicting anything on sunday though

    Any updates on Gio

its the internet, if your gonna make a sarcastic comment make a funny one. i'm here to talk about fantasy football, not opine or entertain. and i do believe marvin lewis does not give a ###### about who you believe should carry the load. i'm a hill fan

    Any updates on Gio

you and others like you are the reason this forum sucks these days as far has hill/gio, we are just going to have to wait and see. we don't even know how healthy gio is yet, he could very well be eased back in on a limited snap count. and for all the snap distribution estimations....really guys? not even taking into consideration the fact there have been no real updates on his injury status, coaches are going to play the guys hoy they want to regardless of what you think is "logical" re: fantasy football. like the rare helpful poster added above, the bengals stuck with the law firm all season. and there have been countless examples over the last 5 years of backfield changing, not changing, being unpredictable, playing the young guys, playing the old guy etc. so throw under informed snap split predictions out there if you want too, but they are worthless unless one of you guys is secretely marvin lewis. lets just wait for the week of practice and discuss actual info

    Consensus thinking: QB edition

when i said "mariota or winston type" i wasn't referring to either specifically, but to the one, two or three top QB prospects that come out in any given year. QB is so important, that the value of great players at that position is extremely high so GMs are gonna reach at guys that have the talent to possibly be a great franchise guy. You have to be really, really bad to have a shot an elite qb prospect. So when teams end up in the 1 through 3 slot, and there is a potential franchise guy avialable teams will more often or not pull the trigger unless they are 100% set at the position. rather or not its smart take a risk on someone with the character concerns that winston does is another story. i think it basically comes down to the fact QB is so hard to play at an elite level in the nfl, and you need a rare blend of altheleticism, talent, and intangibles, scouting a true franchise guy is tough since there are more NFL teams that guys who can actually do it. can't miss prospects like luck only come around once in a great, great while. so most years even drafting from the 1 spot entails huge risks (although less so than before the rookie wage scale). on the topic of winston specifically, i agree i'd be scared as hell if my team drafted him. but if the kid finishes his season like he did last year, i'd think some team drafts him near the top of the draft. but really, the season is not even close to being over, so the draft order is still any ones guess. heck the college season isn't even over, and perceived value of quarterback prospects can take drastic turns leading up to the draft - its too early to slot a specific guy to any team. however glennon has not shown enough to this point to stop the buccs from taking a quarterback at the top of the draft if they are at the podium and a elite QB is still on the board

    When did "stream" replace "start"?

Heraclitus, circa 500BC: "You can not step twice into the same stream" so the term has been around for approx 2500 years give or take. hope that clears everything up for ya
