Antonio Gates Due for Career Year (Again)?

105 yards...two touchdowns and still a ton of time left in the game.

Who was your "sleeper" before the season

Honestly, my sleeper was Big Ben Roethlisberger and it paid off big time.

Antonio Gates Due for Career Year (Again)?

Antonio Gates - 92 yards, two touchdowns. Where are the Gates owners? It's time to represent.

    Patrick Crayton

How did Crayton work out for you this week?

Crayton did not have a bad game at all. Forty six yards and a score is pretty good.

Waiver Wire defenses for week 7

Go with Buffalo. In fact, go with them the rest of the season, especially if your league rewards touchdowns, interceptions and return yards and even if it penalizes points against. Have you seen their special teams play? Absolutely the best special teams unit in the league. I've seen a few of their games. Most of the time, the defense's and ST's big plays are what keeps the Bills in contention throughout most quarters of their games. It's Buffalo's pathetic offense that goes 3 and out so often that really is responsible for their defense giving up so many yards and points in the second half. They're so damn tired from playing what usually amounts to the whole first half, they begin to break at halftime. But remember, it's their ineptitude on offense thats gives the ST and D so many damn chances at turnovers big plays, punts and kickoff returns. Mix in those numerous chances with an already great if not NFL best ST unit and you got a recipe for success and lots of fantasy points from a WW DEF. Keep in mind the Bills play a cover 2 as well, which is known for it's focus on big plays from young, athletic, speedy players. Which is basically what the Bills have. The injuries, in a fantasy perspective, have been a blessing for the Bills D unit and a confirmation of the pedigree of the ST squad. It's the players from the special teams that have stepped it up and contributed to the defense. And they've pretty much poured their heart and showcased their raw skill into their defensive play. Plus they have the one of the best ST coaches in April. So if you like interceptions, touchdowns, punt and kickoff return yards over sacks and points against scoop up Buffalo.

    Patrick Crayton

Football Outsiders' analysis of the Patriots secondary looks pretty solid. The failure in the analysis, I think, starts with FO neglecting the intangibles. A missing element lies with Crayton's game form. He has been playing very well lately. I watched the entire Bills game. Crayton caught everything thrown his way. He ran crisp routes and blocked well. After catching balls, he rumbled through the Bills secondary with above average speed and a stone determination to grind out the extra yards. The dude is playing with a lot, and I mean a lot , of maturity. I am not a Crayton owner, but I am jealous of those who grabbed him off the wire. Even if he doesn't do well against NE, I'd love to own him. Dallas is going to score through the air in bunches this season. I'm kind of mad at myself for not seeing how obvious of a pickup Crayton was.

    The better start this week?

Go with Seattle. I've watched them closely this season. I can tell you that they run a professional team, with a professional offense. The Seahawks were brutal last week at Pittsburgh, but they will get on their feet again. That's what professional, well coached teams do.

    Fox 8 in Cleveland reporting

Willie's fantasy value just exploded higher. It will remain hot if this turns out to be true! He's gonna get all the touchdowns now.

Just read and saw it on the Eagles homepage. Thank God, Westy is a super stud.

Antonio Gates Due for Career Year (Again)?

I also wanted to add that I had a chance to watch Gates crush the Bronco secondary yesterday. And guys, the Denver secondary is a top tier unit. Gate's natural talent is incredible. The trait standing above all of Gates' set of skills though, is his ability to create space and be open 99 per cent of the time. Rivers shouldn't have thrown it to Vincent Jackson. Gates was more open on that play than Jackson.

As the author of the lead post in this thread, I deserve huge props for my Gates "analysis."

Why was Maroney projected Top 12?

    I traded Maroney for Westbrook.

    Ruh-Oh! Roydell Williams!

So what's the deal with this guy....he looked sweet last week against a damn good Indy secondary. Im thinking he goes off Monday night against Webster and the awful Saints secondary. I have a feeling the Saints will win, but it's going to be a high scoring game. Titans really are a good team. What's your take on Roydell? He's probably available in many leagues. Dark Horse? One week guy? I'm thinkin he could be solid this year as WW pickup.
