Cuse9 129 Posted October 21, 2005 Okay I run a league and I have owners who have brain farts...here are my favorites that I have gotten in the past. 1. I want to start Dallas Kicker. ---now why can't the guy just give me his name? 2. I want to start my kicker that isn't on a bye! ---is it my job to look at rosters and see who it is? 3. I would like to start Buleson. If he don't play then go with Warrick. If there is a better wr on the waiver wire pick him up for me....let me know who I got. ---yep, this was a serious request one time. 4. I have Ronnie and Ricky, not sure which one will get more carries. I just want whoever gets more carries. ---Good Lord! 5. I want to pick up Lamar Gordon. ---no problem, don't worry about dropping anyone....I'll figure that out for you. 6. I had a guy a few years ago give me his line up on Tuesday...said he couldn't figure out who to start....figured it out on Tuesday. Best of all time. Three years ago I offered a guy a Harrison or Owens and a Troy Hambrick for Dominic Davis and Kelly Campbell. He emailed me back and said I really like Davis so I am going to keep him. But I am willing to give up Kelly Campbell. I will take Harrison for Campbell, but would rather have Owens. Let me know which one I got. Thanks. Please tell me you guys have just as good of stories. Don't tell me all the retarded owners live in my area!
disproventheory 0 Posted October 21, 2005 Last week I was dealing for Tatum Bell, and the owner said Priest would be a fair trade.
FrankRizzo 0 Posted October 21, 2005 You should stop hanging out at elementary schools and pickup up on children to play in your fantasy football league. I'm sure you have adults in your town that would be willing and able to play with you. Sorry ... no stories here.
adanley 1 Posted October 21, 2005 I was just offered R. Wayne and J. McCareins for E. James or P. Holmes. I think I'll pass on that one.

What you fail to realize is not everyone lives and breathes fantasy football...I know I found it appauling as well. I've had my league for nine years. If you are in a league that never has mistakes, never has had wacky owners...consider yourself the minority. Between all the leagues that I play in alof of funny stuff has happened. I feel bad for you...nothing funny or dumb has happened in ff for you. That's part of the fun.
krizay 0 Posted October 21, 2005 In this year's league. Before the season started. An owner traded L.T. Hasselbeck and Darrell Jackson for Culpepper, Troy Williamson & Ahman Green. Then he traded away Chad Johnson, Kevin Jones & Hines Ward. When I asked him what he wanted for Ahman Green he told me. "Nooooo Ahman Green is untouchable" How can you trade away L.T. & Chad Johnson & then say Ahman Green is untouchable. Needless to say he's sitting near the basement. The crazy thing is he only has 3 players on his team he drafted. Rod Smith, Randy McMichael and Tampa's D

iamroboticus 0 Posted October 21, 2005 In our 12-team redraft league, owner# 1 is known as the Donut Guy because that's where our commissioner found him - he works at the donut place commish goes to every morning. So, Donut Guy gets 1st pick, I get 2nd pick and I'm hoping to land LT. Fortunately, Donut Guy selects Peyton with the first pick, so LT's all mine. So far, so good. Then Donut Guy starts getting wacky with his picks. See for yourself: 2nd rd - Jax D 3rd - Ricky Williams 4th - Byron Leftwich 5th - James Mungro And so on. He even selected Morton Andersen and Freddie Jones (not on any 2005 NFL roster)! Needless to say, he's in last place.
Ilov80s 0 Posted October 21, 2005 I was just offered R. Wayne and J. McCareins for E. James or P. Holmes. I think I'll pass on that one. Last season after week 1, some fool traded me Tiki Barber for Justin Mcaerins straight up. He still finished with the best record (Alexander, Manning, Javon Walker, and Gates) but Tiki kept me afloat all season and I got the 8th seed in the playoffs and knocked him out...it was truly the worst trade I've seen
wild_and_crazy_guy 5 Posted October 21, 2005 The problem is not that they fail to give you all the info when they call in their line-ups to you...the problelm is that they have to call in their line-up to you! Not to ask the obvious, but why do they call you with their line-ups instead of just posting them on your league's ffl web site (Yahoo, Sportsline, etc)? yanivsme 0 Posted October 21, 2005 nice...its always good to hear about the fun stuff. some people should just stay away from ffootball...we had a guy draft don rhodes last year and james mckinght followed by a big YES!! the year before that..dont u have a rule page in your league? OuttaLuck 0 Posted October 21, 2005 I may be able to beat the "Donut Guy" draft post. One year, with an early first round pick, an owner chose a 3rd string RB. The second round pick was a back-up QB. Out of pity (it's a friendly league, although there are good bucks involved) some of us tried to suggest to him that those picks might not be the best ones, and to take someone else instead, but nope, he wouldn't budge. Needless to say, that year he should've changed his team's name to "The Titanic".
Guest MUGS Posted October 21, 2005 Okay I run a league and I have owners who have brain farts Instead of just going to their house and punching them all out... they should be shot...those questions are just bad Idea....Just direct them to the Help board

Guest Karim Abdul-Jabbar Posted October 22, 2005 Week 3 I traded Willie Parker and Nate Burleson for Joey Galloway. Well, the team I traded Parker/Burleson ended up trading Parker for Ricky Williams (why??? I dunno) and dropped off Burleson at the waiver wire department. Needless to say, I had a spot on my team to throw away due to Davenport's injruy so i picked Burleson back-up... haha.

I have a couple guys, good guys & owners, but they don't have a computer. I don't want to boot guys out cause they don't have a computer. I think some of you are looking into this too hard. This doesn't happen every weekennd. These are just some dumb things that have happened over years of fantasy ball.

Homerj24 0 Posted October 22, 2005 I'm in a 10 team auction keeper league. 2 months before the season started (2 years ago), I had Chad Pennington for the league minimum. Another owner had Shaun Alexander for about 20% of what he would've gone for in the open market. I got him straight up for Pennington. Needless to say, that owner THIS season is really getting it from everyone else. Pennington is all broke up and Shaun has already had two 4 TD games. haha!! Last week he had a HUGE brain fart. He benched Santana Moss for TJ Duckett. LOL
