Titans Head Coach Jeff Fisher announced Monday that the team released wide receiver Andrae Thurman to make room for running back Travis Henry.

Henry returns from a four-game suspension this week.

''That was a combination of needing a spot, and Andrae violating team rules, which I won't go into detail,'' Fisher said. ''It was the best thing for the club right now.''

Fisher said he wasn't sure if Thurman would still be on the roster had he not broken the team rule.

''It's hard to say,'' Fisher said. ''I just felt like this was the place to go. The last couple of weeks I said that when Travis did come back that we may go with a different position, and that's what we decided to do.''

Fisher said the team may have to add another receiver to the roster, depending on the injury to wide receiver Brandon Jones.
