D'ohmer Simpson 0 Posted March 13, 2006 Can someone explain the fascination with myspace.com. Yeah, it's been in the news lately because of the dangers of teens giving out their addresses, and posting pretty much anything, including porn, but really, what's the fascination with it? That you have your own website? I've gone through a bunch of user profiles and it's really annoying and distracting all the crap people put on their pages. Are the forums really that good? What's the deal?
Electric Mayhem 35 Posted March 13, 2006 Supposedly it's a great place to pick up underaged, overdeveloped attractive women from broken homes.
phillybear 366 Posted March 13, 2006 I am not a part of that world. But apparently, some butt nugget has a site, and he goes by the name Phillybear. Looks like I have no choice but to slaughter him in a most horrible way and regain my unique identity. phillybear > Phillybear

avoiding injuries 1,411 Posted March 13, 2006 I have a buddy who just got back from Iraq. We were talking a couple weeks ago and he said he kept in touch with people by using MySpace and asked me to start one. I did and have got in contact/contacted by a lot of people I haven't seen or talked to in a few years. I'm 26, so maybe I'm young enough to have a lot of friends who also have pages. It's pretty cool and I check it at least once a day.
brinett9 0 Posted March 13, 2006 I mostly use it to gather intelligence on targets before taking them out. It's a big time saver.

RicemanX 20 Posted March 13, 2006 It's great for underaged girls because they love the attention (except if you're under 14, they don't let the public see your profile) If you are a college student, it's a cool networking tool, and anything to distract you from homework right? It's also a great place for bands to promote themselves. If I'm not mistaken, Panic! At the Disco was pretty much found on myspace, and now they are the "hot" band on MTV. Jessy 0 Posted March 13, 2006 I use it to keep track of bands I already like, find new bands (though you really have to wade through a ton of crap to find good bands) and to keep in touch with friends who don't live around here. But I also met my boyfriend and the guy I went out with before him through myspace.

Jessy 0 Posted March 13, 2006 You have good musical taste. But I already knew that. Hahahahahaha. I'm a total snob about adding bands as friends. I check their influences and if I see bands I hate they get denied.

My buddy liked to keep track of the newer bands that were using it to post their songs and whatnot.
Jessy 0 Posted March 13, 2006 Letting him move to end the relationship. Using the distance factor to break up. I never wanted to break up with him. I was feeling like I had no choice. And if he takes the job, I won't have a choice in that either.

RicemanX 20 Posted March 13, 2006 Panic! At the disco is a terrible band. Never said they were good. But I have to admit they are definitely different and much better than the other bands of that genre. Anyways, my point was that all the 14-17 years old girls started to put their songs on their myspace, thus, giving them a lot more attention than they deserve. They are not any better than other bands of that quasi-emo genre. I agree myspace spawned their popularity.
