I could book a really nice 3 week honeymoon to Hawaii for under 5K, but Noooooooo that's too much. Yet she has no problem spending 15-20k ON ONE FOCKING DAY! And it's more like half a day at that. Her sister is spending 15K on her wedding and for the honeymoon they're going to sh!t ass Grand Rapids, MI. I mean WTF? Everyone always says they wished they eloped or took a better honeymoon. Instead of spending all this money on bullsh!t. I guess that's why I'm not doing much of the planing, because it would p!ss me off spending money on all the stupid worthless sh!t. And why the fock do we have to register for new dishes when we both have a perfectly good set. Why not get something cool, like straight up cash. It was hilarious, she kept telling them that she didn't care. Finally, one night at dinner, after she told them that she doesn't care her parents asked her what she wanted her reply was "As long as he shows up, I don't give a schit and the guests don't give a schit.." The only problem is I guess I went over the line when I asked her if I could make her an "engagement couch", instead of a ring...Makes sense, right? Same goes for the ring IMO. I don't think it needs to be so excessive, as some expect it to be, use ithe money towards a downpayment or payoff some of those loans or somthing. To help me feel "involved", I was supposed to make the final decision on the cake. The final two were chocolate with raspberry, one mousse, the other jelly. I try them both and pick the jelly. The wife-to-be then talks for two minutes about why we should pick the other one. My response was, "sorry, I didn't realize that I was only supposed to pick the cake if it is the one you want."
