Facts/Numbers about Illegal Immigration

Recommended Posts

Illegal immigrants produce an estimated $970 Billion in goods and services annually, or nearly 9% of the total U.S. economy (Barron's magazine report).

* There are approximately 12 million illegal immigrants in the U.S.

* 56% are Mexican

* 24% are from other parts of Latin America

* 10% Asia

* 6% Canada & Eurpoe

* 4% from other parts of the world

Essentially 44% of illegal immigrants are NOT from Mexico. But yet it seems like Mexicans get the bad rap. At least Mexicans have the stones to speak up and protest.

I love it when people ask what race you are and I hear "I'm Mexican". I didn't know being from a country was now a race? ;)

When people ask you what you are, do you say Anglo-Saxon, or do you say I'm an American.

I hope this isnt your way of trying to justify this. If anything, this just proves we need to make some changes so these people are actually accounted for, for national security reasons as well as making sure they are paying their fair share of taxes.

No one thinks we need to just start shipping these people all back to where they came from. But this isnt something we can just sit back and ignore, this is a major issue that needs to be addressed.

i just tell them redneck. :ninja:

And actually, Messicans are Americans as well. As are columbians, aregntenians, puerto ricans, guatamelans, etc etc etc.

Thats why in spanish we are referred to as "estadounidense" or united statesans ;)

Yeah, but if they were born in Mexico, essentially they are Mexican. So I don't quite understand your point. I mean, the same is true for Ireland or Italy, right? Am I missing something?

;) Thats all good! Now if we can get illegals to start paying taxes, stop stealing social security #'s, and using each others drivers licenses.

I am an American. I am caucasion.

If you are from Mexico, you are Mexican. You are also hispanic.

Italians are hard to classify. I would say they are more hispanic than anglo saxon.

Well put :bow:

Did you even read what he wrote? He asked what I would say if someone asked what I was. And he was right, I would say American. But if someone asked me what race I was, I would say caucasion or cracker.
