Ignition Technition 0 Posted April 30, 2006 Where's that Kevin McMahan highlight video? The Lowsman Trophy winner POSITIVES: Sure-handed wideout who took his game to another level as a senior . Quick-footed, sells routes and displays sharpness into breaks. Throws double moves on defenders and gets separation from opponents. Shields opponents away with his frame and effectively uses the sidelines.

dcgangstas 41 Posted April 30, 2006 I was pleased with the selection of Michael Huff personally. I really didn't think Leinart is a fit for the "vertical stretch" offense that Al prefers. Thomas Howard's selection is CLASSIC Al. He goes ga-ga over an OLB with 4.42 speed. Sounds like Sam Williams all over again. Gonna hope for the best. I'm still pissed that Al didn't take Odell Thurman in the 2nd last year, when he took Routt instead. Routt would have been there in the 4th.
whoisjgalt 0 Posted April 30, 2006 From his Pro Day:Height: 6024Weight: 19340: 4.31Vertical: 38.5"Broad: 10'8"Shuttle: 4.343-Cone: 6.86 If those stats are legit (gotta assume that they are) then the height and speed may make him translate to this level much better than a guy like David Kircus who also had gaudy stats against a lower level of competition. At least he ought to be a special teams guy, including handling returns.

whoisjgalt 0 Posted May 1, 2006 Naturally, Wright was "WTF" about dropping from the 2nd to the 7th. But when the Dolphins grabbed him, they told him he's got a shoulder injury that'll require surgery. He wasn't aware of that injury. story here

He wasn't aware of that injury. story here Note to NFL GMs: If an MRI reveals a shoulder injury and the dude didn't miss a game and benches 425 lbs, draft him, because he's either a freak of nature or the MRI machine is broken, or both. NAn 39 Posted May 1, 2006 Rod Wright??? Nope. Chris Morris, C from Michigan State. Art sure wants a new line... Morris and Boothe are projects IMO, leaving Mcquistan looking to crack the starting line-up. Still, think it serves notice that Shell is looking to shake up and/or light a fire under existing OL, particularly Gallery and Grove who have greatly underachieved. Still think Bing is undersized for LB and be best served as ss with emphasis on run support with his aggressive/hard hitting style. We'll see what they do with him. Agreed, I'll hate it if they don't keep him at SS. I hope they get rid of the 4-2-5, but if they don't he could be a good guy to play the 5 now that Renaldo Hill (who played well last year) is gone. junk 0 Posted May 1, 2006 Also, as I've said many times, Al has always lived and died by the vet qb for bette or worse...something that was reinforcedd when we did go with qb in 1st rnd and why I wouldn't see Al do it again. Two words: Marc Wilson. dont forget todd marinovich (25th pick i think)
NAn 39 Posted May 1, 2006 dont forget todd marinovich (25th pick i think) 24th actually, 91 draft. Thanks...forgot about him. Wilson was 15th overall in 1980.

t.j 35 Posted May 3, 2006 Wan't Marc Wilson also Al's son-in-law?? http://experts.about.com/q/Oakland-Raiders...Mark-Wilson.htm Well, this one with Al Davis's daughter has been going around for quite some time. I have heard James Jett, Marcus Allen, Mark Wilson, the list goes on and on. Don't believe the hype. I don't even think he has a daughter. I know he has a son.
