GettnHuge 2 Posted June 7, 2006 How about this: Tie a 330 ft rope around their neck, and stainless steel toasters to their feet. Secure the other end of the rope to the top of a 300 ft building and then shove them off.
dcOne 2 Posted June 7, 2006 gimme a break no way you can rehab these peeps Okay...I got the old dude's phone number. Makes ya think for a second, doesn't it. i'd sew their azzhole shut, and then keep on feedin' em, and feedin em'. Do you think sewing would be best? What do you think of slathering a superball in superglue, then lodging it right in there? Seems like a perfect, airtight fit would occur.

phillybear 366 Posted June 7, 2006 Hog tie the offender. Sew their mouth shut. Stuff a dozen snakes into their rectum. Sew their rectum shut. Over time, the snakes will eat the offenders insides, breed, and eventually an overflowing snake population will burst forth from the stomach of the offender in an explosion of undulating, fornicating reptiles, and delicious bloody, gooey shed snake skins. GobbleDog 919 Posted June 7, 2006 For life? I believe the recidivism rate for sex offenders is unusually high with a very low rate of rehabilitation. As such, I believe that we have to make a special case for protection in the event that offender gets out. This is especially important when one considers the victims of these predators. That seems to be the common theme here. But does anyone know what the actual rate is? What percentage of released child molesters, were later re-arrested on another charge of child molesting? 10% ? 50% ? 90 % ? If the rate is as high as 90%, then I would agree that the punishment should be pretty harsh. Even if it does screw over the 10% that would have been good citizens. In the interest of public safety, you could justify that. However, if only 10% re-offend, then I'm not sure it's worth it to hand down a punishment that's more severe than what the crime deserves. Regardless what the rate is, I don't think there should be a blanket penalty for all cases. Each case should be judged individually.

Regardless what the rate is, I don't think there should be a blanket penalty for all cases. Each case should be judged individually. Apparently, there is not a lot of great data for a variety of reasons. One of the key problems is that as many as 2 out of every 3 sexual assault goes unreported. Some good info here: http://www.csom.org/pubs/recidsexof.html Conversely, Prentky, Lee, Knight, and Cerce (1997) found that over a 25-year period, child molesters had higher rates of reoffense than rapists. In this study, recidivism was operationalized as a failure rate and calculated as the proportion of individuals who were rearrested using survival analysis (which takes into account the amount of time each offender has been at risk in the community). Results show that over longer periods of time, child molesters have a higher failure rate—thus, a higher rate of rearrest—than rapists (52 percent versus 39 percent over 25 years). Compared to non-sex offenders released from State prisons, released sex offenders were 4 times more likely to be rearrested for a sex crime. http://www.ojp.usdoj.gov/bjs/abstract/rsorp94.htm

davebg 0 Posted June 7, 2006 What about the poor joe who gets wrongly accussed and gets his meat puppet cut off? Fair point. I wonder what the percentage of falsely accused and convicted sex offenders is. I would imagine that the rate of false accusations is much higher for sex offenses against adults than children, but I wonder what the actual numbers say. DanXIII 8 Posted June 8, 2006 I've thought about this issue often. I used to think that simply castrating them would do the trick, but the more I think about it the more I realize that the problem is in their brains, not their balls. Therefore, life in prison seems most feasible. It seems clear that they don't really ever rehabilitate.

ROBOKOP 0 Posted June 8, 2006 There are plenty of things that we would like to see done with these people but realistically our justice system gives the sick focks multiple chances and opportunities to re-offend. There are internet resources out there whereas you can find out all of the registered sex offenders livingin your area. Its actually pretty scary to discover this information. Sex offenders have a mental illness, its not like they got drunk and got in a fight. Spending a few days in jail wont make them come to their senses. In their brains, the wrong types of things sexually excite them. Something has to be done to limit the sexual appetite and that could possibly include castration. Furthermore, electronic monitoring should be mandatory. Get those idiots on a bracelet so we know where they are. Unfortunately, our justice system will never allow us to condemn these guys for the remainder of their lives; we just need to do something to control them. In my humble opinion, I believe the internet is a breeding ground for sexual predators. This is a vehicle that allows a person to take the first steps of deviant behavior without ever leaving their home and still have the abilty to be anonymous. I think that with the evolution of the internet, there has been much more problematic behaviors as the people in the past too afraid to act on their freakish fantasy, now can garnish up the courage to act and then start taking overt actions. See the Dateline episodes? With everything said and done I hope and pray I never have a person like this invades the sanctity of my family; Not only because of the damage it would cause to my family, but out of fear for what I will do: and that is act outside the law, which falls short in dealing with these problems. Patriotsfatboy1 1,432 Posted June 8, 2006 Tonight, I've taken my first foray into the Dateline NBC series on busting sexual predators who set up sex online with underage girls. Shocking. Sad. Disturbing. This assbags all serve up the same schpiel, too. Creepy focks. I have been watching some of the recap tonight as well. I saw several of the episodes before, so I have been somewhat desensitized by it. However, I am pissed off that these assbags are repeat offenders who have not received appropriate punishment for the damage that they have done (or would like to do) to kids. I can tell you that if one of my kids was a victim of these, the offender would not have an opportunity to have a repeat offense.
