vee_dubb 0 Posted July 28, 2006 Roy could be a super sweet 4th rounder. I think back to 4th round WRs taken by me in the past: 2006: Anquan Boldin 2005: Torry Holt 2004: Chad Johnson The key here is to find a really talented WR that is on a team with good talent, who had a really bad year the year before. I have lived by this rule for over 12 years of Fantasy Football and it has served me very, very well. Another name to keep in mind this year is..... wait, I can't give away all my secrets. rebooters 1 Posted July 28, 2006 yea and add martz to the equation and he looks even better. its all up to the OLINE. another plus is they should be behind alot and will have to pass more. roy is the #1 target so i say good value. i took him last year and that may have been a lil too early since he kinda sucked. he wouldnt have been bad as my #3WR but i had javon walker go down so he turned into my #2 behind steve smith(got lucky and got him in the 4th round) this year id expect double digit tds and around 1100 yrds. BREWSTER_MIL 0 Posted July 28, 2006 to much hype surrounding this guy. He hasnt done a thing. in the 4th round, id rather take a proven wr like Chambers, Jackson, Ward, Moss, Driver. I know he has the talent, but I'll let someone else grab him. I might kick myself at years end, but at least I'll know what I'm getting with the wr's above. Wiliiams has scored 16 times the past two seasons. Kind of alot of someone who hasn't done a thing don't you think? Heck he equaled or outscored 3 of the 5 you listed those seasons while being hurt and having Suckington throwing to him.

listen2me 23 1,767 Posted July 28, 2006 Hell Porter and Stallworth have put up good TD numbers in the past.....does that make them a top 15 caliber WR?... Joe J. put up 10 last year......so where is he in your rankings.... The potential is there....but I won't be the guy picking a player who can't stay healthy as my 2nd WR...and in the 4th round...I don't want to be the guy scrambling to find a 2nd WR by October... Swim54 4 Posted July 28, 2006 The way I look at it he is worth the risk. Winning it all means you have to take chances. Consistency like ward gets you into the playoffs but big risk wins the championship. Look at the people that reached a bit for LJ and steve smith last year. First time i've evr agreed with swamp dog. IMO Roy will put up top 10 numbers especially with Martz here now. Harrington never aired it out so it will be interesting to see what he does this year with Kitna. 1000 yds 11 TDs Breakout 3rd year WR

I am not comparing them. only their stats....I just wouldn't invest a 4th round pick in a guy who hasn't proved he can stay healthy or put up great numbers....like I said the potential is their, but why would I or anyone else take a guy as a #2 WR or in the 4th who has Kitna as the QB a new coach and has proved nothing more than that he has some athletic ability??....really what has he done besides have a few highlights and a couple great games after 2 seasons?...I would rather take a guy like Santana Moss or wait and take a guy like Joe Horn over ROY....It's just like I am not very high on Randy Moss as a top 5 WR...because I'm not going to take such as risky player that high when I could just take a Torry Holt...I have nothing against ROY or Moss....its just Moss has been getting hurt and ROY has yet to stay healthy or put up numbers you want from a 4th round pick...add in his situation and it only makes his value in my eyes go down...we can even get into his opposite WR not having any credibility and all the attention should shift to ROY....the only plus for him is he is young with Potential....I don't know why everyone is so high on him...no one has any reasons besides he has 16 TDs in 2 years....3 of those TDs were in 1 game last year...not the kind of play I want from my 2nd WR...
