shake_a_leg 0 Posted August 26, 2006 Short answer: Benson.
jbwillisjr 0 Posted August 26, 2006 Rhodes.....That RB situation in Chi-town is shapping up to be real squirlly. T Jones is the best player. Benson is the 1st Rounder who needs to see the field (from the management's position), but he cant catch the ball half as well at TJ. The RB in that offense needs to be a good reciever b/c right now TJ is also the 2nd best reciever on the field. Not to mention A Peterson who will tough to keep off the field w/his talent....err what a mess!!! Go Rhodes, by game 5 there will be a clear cut starter injury or not. DanXIII 8 Posted August 26, 2006 If you had posted this a week ago, I'd have said Benson hands down. However, with the most recent news of Benson's latest stupidity I'd say go with Rhodes...
BigMek 0 Posted August 26, 2006 No if's and's or but's!! Cedric Benson. No questions asked!
FFOpie 0 Posted August 26, 2006 just to keep it even I'll go with Rhodes One I think Jones is better and two you have Addai with presumably a high pick so insure it with Rhodes in case Addai gets off to a slow start on the learning curve or gets hurt. Raider 84 29 Posted August 26, 2006 Rhodes-the Colts score 30 points a game and Peyton can't get them all.
2bmayhem 1 Posted August 26, 2006 Looking at stats from last year both teams give their RB's 20 touches a game. Chicago has the easier schedule, while Indy's passing offense is well.... you know... above average. Indy's o-line is ranked pretty high and their SOS rush opponents below average. Wouldn't you want Rhodes? He is the projected starter early in the season, isn't he? I'd think he'd be pretty motvated with the rook waiting on the sidelines. Perhaps the upside of an Indy handcuff is better than the Bears.
NJJoe20 0 Posted August 26, 2006 Benson will put up numbers whn given the chance, and make no mistake, he will be given the chance. Rhodes is a marginal NFL RB in a good sytem, Benson will put up better stats if both end up as starters. Remember, the Chicago system is going to be very nice for RB's over the next few years. The only reason I'd consider Rhodes is due to his contract year status. Who knows what roids/HGH NFL players put in their body at this point.
