ALsportsnut 0 Posted November 7, 2006 Is TO worth protecting? What is the length of his contract? Options to protect (protect 5) 1.Torry Holt 2. Clinton Portis 3. Reggie Bush 4. Brandon Jacobs 5. Terrell Owens 6. Make a trade for a quality QB, and protect him QBs are Alex Smith and Daunte Culpepper. Would you protect any of these guys?
darko 0 Posted November 7, 2006 He'll have 2 years left, and next year he'll start acting up about an extension. Don't protect him, save yourself the headache.
carmo911 2 Posted November 7, 2006 Agree it isn't worth the headache to keep him around. You have better option listed. Thanks for mine

Holt (#1 WR), Portis (top 10 back), Bush (should be more consistent---total yardage is good this year, if you include returns), and Jacobs (no more tiki) would be who i would keep. ALsportsnut 0 Posted November 7, 2006 I'm suppose to protect 5 players from my list.... So basically, should I use TO as trade bait in order to bring in a quality QB?
darko 0 Posted November 7, 2006 If you can bring in any quality player for TO, do it.
ALsportsnut 0 Posted November 7, 2006 A couple of owners have expressed interest. Vick, Tony Romo, and maybe Tom Brady I would have to give up my 1st round pick next year, TO, and Alex Smith for Brady. The owner who has Vick also has Hasselback, but the trade deadline is this week and Hasselback is still hurt. I think I can give him Alex Smith, TO, and 2nd round pick next year. What do you think? darko 0 Posted November 7, 2006 Who do you think you'de be able to get with your respective picks?
ALsportsnut 0 Posted November 7, 2006 Who do you think you'de be able to get with your respective picks? I am in a 20 team league that protects 5 players. Every team usually protects at least 1 QB. I would say that 25 QBs are off the board on draft day. WRs are the more abundant and RBs are impossible to draft unless he is a rookie.
darko 0 Posted November 7, 2006 So with your team your 1 and 2 would go WR WR. You might want to trade TO for a different WR or a RB who could make a leap and hope to grab an Alex Smith type in the first round of the draft.
