I understand perfectly where you're coming from, BUT ... Are we to just let people take our stuff? Obviously, this guy's been getting ripped off A LOT. He's got to deal with the insurance claims and the dropped insurance and the higher premiums. He's getting sick and tired of it. If he had placed a neon sign next to the car stating "Removal of parts may cause bodily injury", would that be better? I don't blame the guy one bit for doing what he did. I can see the slippery slope, so i guess its a good thing they prosecute these kinds of acts. But part of me still wants that guy to remain free. It would be too hard to determine where the line is if you allowed any sort of booby traps.
