That weekend (7th) is when we'll set off all the illegal fireworks down at the in-laws. Nothin better than a bunch of drunk, stoned, hillbilly's setting off some big ass fireworks. Last year was kinda memorable, when one of the 2 foot rockets fell down as it was lit and it came within a few inches of my face, exploding onto the garage door. Sure was purdy though.

The night of the third they have an awesome fireworks display in town. Everybody in town goes down to the waterfront and watches the fireworks (which are shot off from a barge in the channel). So there will be a lot of

 

The fourth there is a parade and stuff, but not being a family man, its not for me. I'll probably get some friends together and try to kill our hangovers with a tough hike.

 

Then on the 5th I am off to hike a 33 mile trail over 3 days with a couple buddies. Nothing too major, but the scenery is amazing and it should be a great time.

Hey monk, me and the kids are heading up to the cabin on Tuesday night and staying until Sunday. The wife's staying behind and working. We'll bring the boat up and do some fishing and skiing and tubing, maybe mow the yard, etc. There's always a great fireworks show over the lake so that's always fun. We like to sit out in the boat and watch the show from the lake. My parents and my sister and her family will be up there as well, so we might play a couple games of cards or something.
