Hurricane 0 Posted October 30, 2007 I was offered Hines Ward for Kenny Watson. What is Watson's value these days?
Patriotsfatboy1 1,432 Posted October 30, 2007 I have Watson now and I would take Ward for him. Kenny is a little dinged up and I would be concerned that: 1. If Rudi comes back, the best case is that he ends up in an RBBC (maybe Chris Perry?) 2. He can't handle the load
A Dido Brother 0 Posted October 30, 2007 Opinions are split over whether he'll be worth anything once Rudi comes back. I'm in the "expect an RBBC" camp. Watson just put up 4.6 ypc against the top rushing defense in the NFL. He's a better pass catcher out of the backfield than Rudi. He won't sit when Rudi returns, especially since their season is looking lost now. Rudi should get carries, though, b/c he's better suited to take the pounding and has a different rushing style. cortezthekiller303 0 Posted October 30, 2007 If you are desperate for a WR, and its sounds like you are if you are aiming for guys like Hines Ward, then you might want to pull the trigger, but consider this: 1. Rudi's injury is a hamstring injury, which is as delicate as they come in terms of what he is capable of. Think Moss in the preseason. 2. Watson has shown that he can carry to load, and his performance vs. PIT this past weekend was pretty good considering the defense and what they have given up this year so far, which isnt alot. 3. This is the big one. Here is the remaining schedule for the Bengals: 9 November 4 @Buffalo Bills 1:00 PM 10 November 11 @Baltimore Ravens 4:05 PM 11 November 18 Arizona Cardinals 1:00 PM 12 November 25 Tennessee Titans 1:00 PM 13 December 2 @Pittsburgh Steelers 8:15 PM 14 December 9 St. Louis Rams 1:00 PM 15 December 15 @San Francisco 49ers 8:15 PM 16 December 23 Cleveland Browns 1:00 PM 17 December 30 @Miami Dolphins Aside from playing the Steelers again in December, I cant see a team on there that I would not start Watson against. And yeah, that includes Baltimore. If the coaching staff decides they have seen enough in Watson to make him the starter, then its going to be a great ride the rest of the season...so its a gamble like anything else. Hurricane 0 Posted October 30, 2007 We start 2 RBs, 2 WRs, and 1 flex. My RBs: LJ, MJD, Kevin Jones, Selvin Young My WRs: Driver, SMoss, CHenry, Curry, Crayton Yep, that's why I moved him.
Mephisto 15 Posted October 30, 2007 I'd move him with a concussion for Ward.

I like Watson, however Tenn is another team I would not start anyone against...I think they give up the least to RB's of all 32 teams.

Yeah, heard that about starting Lynch against Baltimore and then Watson against Pittsburgh. You would, too, start someone against Tennessee. Stop being such a focking drama queen.
