League's trying to reverse my trade...

Recommended Posts

I won't tell you which side I'm on so I don't influence anything, but here it is:

Edge, Mike Bell, Tony hunt, #24 pick in the rookie/FA draft

for

#3 pick in the rookie/FA draft

Obviously it's a dynasty draft. Is this something to get bent out of shape over with the league and try to reverse it?

Pretty fair trade to me, the team getting Edge, Mike Bell, and tony hunt is getting the better deal if they have absolutely no depth and the league is deep as hell, and considering mike bell is taken, it sounds like it. I like the deal for the guy getting #3 better if he has just absolutely tons of depth, and if your dynasty makes you cut a certain number of players before rookie draft.

Theoretically i could see examples where that trade could benefit both teams :dunno:

But to tell you the truth these threads are stupid, and do nothing but reafirm my belief that 50% of the commisioners out there are retards.

I agree with everything the poster of the team I hate the most in the whole entire world said.

Seriously though. MBUM's right.

Laughable argument. I assume 1 team is hurting at RB. He needs a starting back, plus some depth at the position, and will still be able to get a good rook in the 2nd round. (12 team dynasty?)

While the other owner probably has RB depth, and wants to get younger at the position with 1 potential RB stud. For him it's also no guarantee if he's moving up in the draft to get a RB. That the kid will pan out. Look at both Cedrick Benson and JJ Arington from recent history to see this.

Seems like a perfectly fine offseason trade to me.

Wow, I haven't seen a fantasy football thread on here in weeks!

With that being said, looks like an okay trade to me?!

Can really never understand how leagues (especially Dynasty) can revoke trades.... it's just ridiculous...

Who the hell is determining what side is getting the better of the deal, and how the fock do they know this ?????? I love how idiots try to assume who's getting the better of a deal, when they're not involved in the trade... If it was for the # 1 pick in the draft, then as a Commish I'd have to ask what are you trying to accomplish with this trade, and get a gauge on both sides.... I mean I still wouldn't be able to veto it, because no one has a crystal ball and knows whats going to happen for any one the players involved in the trade, but it would raise concern in my eyes a little...

Also I'm a little curious if your league is an IDP or not, and how must roster room do you have? The 24th pick in an IDP draft has some real solid value.. James Jones from Green Bay went 24th in my IDP Dynasty last year (with Tony Hunt going 21st)....

There is a very good RB class coming out and the top 3 pick is def. the better value in my own eyes in this trade, but you never know what you're going to get in the draft... You may get a Marshawn Lynch who went 3rd in my draft last year (solid RB that contributed the way they said he would his rookie year with very nice upside for the future) or you may get a Brandon Jackson who went 4th in my draft last year (a guy that was phased out quicker than the Ab Energizer)...Granted there is a much better class of RB's coming out, but my point is you just never know with draft picks... No one can say a solid veteran RB, a decent young RB with value, another RB that has produced in the past, and a decent draft pick is worth more or less than the 3rd pick in the draft

Judge: Your commish is a joke who thinks he's above what he really is

Whoever is getting the #3 pick totally screwed over the other owner. Edge is done as the primary ball carrier in AZ as they sound like they will draft a RB, Bell is already done, and Hunt at best has to wait a few more years, so to me its trading the #3 for the #24. That said, I believe owners should be allowed to run their own teams, and the league has no right to object to the trade.

This right here is what I'm talking about... What you think and what you assume doesn't mean jack squat.... people said Curtis Martin was done a few years ago and the guy came back and lead the league in rushing yards,,,,, And Who's to say Tony Hunt has a few more years AT BEST to make an impact?????? What if Buckhalter gets cut in the off-season and Hunt is made the primary back-up in Philly next year making his value skyrocket..... then only to see the "ever so durable" Brian Westbrook tear his knee up in week 2 leaving Hunt to rush for 1,100 and 8 scores....

but you have a crystal ball and the other players in this deal have no value so it's like trading the 3 for the 24 :bandana:
