my 1st online game.. i am still a total noob but.

 

down 14 to 7, I throw a pick 6 with 3 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter. i wanted to edjr and quit, but I didn't.

 

so I come down and score a TD, kickoff and he missed the kick somehow, he gets it at the 2. i sack him back to the 7 and it's 4th down, so I block try and block the kick, he holds one of my guys in the endzone for a safety, he kicks it to me, I come down and score and welker made a diving catch for 2 to make it 24 to 21.. then I held him on the last drive for the win.

I've played 3 games online now... Destroyed the first guy... got destroyed by the second... and lost a close one in the third. McNabb has gotten hurt in 2 out of 3 games (Super-realistic!).

I went with a wired connection rather than a wireless connection last night and the difference was huge. I'm busy this weekend but I am ready to play games starting next week. I played twice online last night using wireless and didn't have any lag. Maybe I just got lucky but it seems better than when I play MLB 08 online.

 

Do we have to wait to play league games or should we start now? Also, do we just challenge other league members when we see them online or is there some sort of schedule?

No Problem. They (PS3 network) didnt do a very good job making it easy to communicate with people in your league. I am in another league with 32 teams and not 1 game has been played. Its a great idea, but definitely needs some tweaking.

As far as I can tell, there is no schedule. You just logon to the league, see who is online and then offer a league game invite. I tried to send a few out on Thursday (Me2006 and you were both online) but didnt get a response after about 5 minutes of waiting. Not sure how exactly it works on your end but I assume you were midgame and it either didnt send you the invite or you didnt see it. I've since added the league players to my PS3 "friends" list so I can see when they come online. Does anyone want to schedule something for tonight?

I played against someone last night and we both had voice chat.. i hooked my bluetooth into the PS3.

 

it's really akward when you have to actually answer to someone. he was a really nice kid..

 

i went for it on 4th and 7 from his 43 and he picked punt return, he had to call a timeout and change his D, i got the 1st down anyway.

 

I am the worst.. i picked him off 5 focking times and I lost 14 to 10

Saturday's are usually best, either before nighttime or later in the night. Busy with class all week, family stuff and football on Sunday and Friday and Saturday nights are with the girlfriend.
