lambert58 65 Posted September 5, 2008 For all of those shipping McGahee out to pasture here is a quote from Ray Rice yesterday regarding McGahee's availability for this week's game. If he's [McGahee is] back and healthy, I think our offense will be a lot better because of what he can contribute to this offense," Rice said. "When he's back, he's back. But if not, when I'm in there, I'm the starter whether I started the game or when I come in the game. I have to take that approach every rep I get." http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/footbal...0,1008395.story So the Head Coach, offensive Coordinator, and Back Up running back all acknowledge that Willis McGahee is the best opition for success for the Ravens yet people still choose to believe that he won't be a factor because Rice was drafted.. Those who have Ray Rice should be trying to trade to get McGahee. itsatip.

He says that the offense would be better with him than without him, which is understandable. Nowhere does he say that McGahee as the starter is better than him as the starter. Nice try though. Reading comprehension....itsatip.HTH

illest 0 Posted September 5, 2008 lol, yes. this is definately one of the worst fanboy threads of all time. You definately read what you want to read. I've got McGahee and I know this is ridiculous.
Voice_Of_Reason 0 Posted September 5, 2008 I've got both. So my bias is nil. And here's how I see it. Rice is a smart kid. He's been saying and doing the things that make coaches fall in love with him. And this statement is another example of how smart he is. He doesn't come out all thug like and say things like Yo dog, I'm the man, give me the rock, McGahee ain't sh*t. He comes out as a team player willing to share/do whatever it takes to win. He's not going to alienate the coaching staff, his teammates, or fans with some asinine comment. He knows if he bides his time, McGahee is going to be a goner either due to injury or discontent. What possible good could come of Rice talking sh*t about him? Nothing.
MR BASS 0 Posted September 5, 2008 I think Ray Rice is the real deal and hope he gets the start... did really well in preseason with 5yrd per carry...
mhaggy 0 Posted September 5, 2008 McGahee is on the way out and anyone that is denying this is just kidding themselves. Rice, at the other end of the spectrum, is the real deal and won't give the starting job back once he gets it.

gitrdun 17 Posted September 5, 2008 I like Rice alot, but not for this weekend. I really need to find out if McGahee will be playing. I Ricky in as my 2nd back, but if I can find out about McGahee I may change to Rice. Anyone have any thoughts on those two?

Reality 3,007 Posted September 5, 2008 Offensive coordinator Cam Cameron said that running back Willis McGahee (left knee) will be a game-time decision. If he can't go, then rookie Ray Rice will start in his place. McGahee termed his chances of playing at 50 percent. Have fun
Dallas_Empire 0 Posted September 5, 2008 It looked like he had cottage cheese in that joint instead of bone and ligament. McGahee will never fully recover and you know he is trying to avoid the big hit now. He doesn't want to get hurt like that again and he was never a stud RB to begin with so Rice is gonna take his job.

Dallas_Empire 0 Posted September 6, 2008 Just because of this thread, I will be starting Ray Rice this weekend I would say the same, but I actually have great RBs on my teams and did not have to resort to picking Willis. I have so many more options to choose from than Rice.
bloodhound1 0 Posted September 6, 2008 http://fantasynews.sportsline.com/fantasyf...ayerpage/396170Ray Rice owners need to trade for McGahee... itsatip McGahee is an injury risk- given.. but also coaching staff is disappointed with his knowledge of the playbook.. insiders note he's not happy in Baltimore -theres more to this story- but anyway you cut it- Rice is much more value here.. TennisMenace 156 Posted November 4, 2008 The issue is simply this - RR is the back up and will get back up carries when WM returns. Will WM return for week 10....now that's the pressing question at hand. I'm hearing word that Ravens would like to rest WM for one more week. In that case, RR is a great play to start.
