fugoondo 3 Posted September 21, 2008 Sounds like share cropping! Harvey Fialkov, of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, reports Miami Dolphins RB Ricky Williams will earn $730,000 this season in addition to $93,000 for each game he plays. However, Williams has not been absolved of his $8.1 million debt to the team, and, though unlikely, they could begin garnishing Williams' salary and assets at any time

Rye & Leaf 0 Posted September 21, 2008 If he plays all 16 games he will earn $2,218,000. Not sure why the front office would structure his contract this way. It would seem to me that it is in Ricky's best interest to let Ronnie start the rest of the season, to cut down on the chance of injury, while increasng his chances of collecting all those incentives. Ricky Williams in 10 minutes, mind you. http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/football...ory/675013.html Self Pwnage! That's taking one for the team to an extreme. Rye & Leaf 0 Posted September 21, 2008 Quote Parcells called Williams to his office less than two weeks ago to pitch an extension and told Williams to think about it. Williams said on the night before the final preseason game, ``I had a dream about how the talks would go, and it happened just that way.''
Bouve 0 Posted September 21, 2008 The Dolphins will never attempt to recover the money unless Williams does something foolish like fail another test. Miami would have to take a cap hit on the money and Williams would also have to pay the taxes on the money even though he paid taxes on those funds when he initially earned them. Its a lose/lose for everyone involved if they go after it.
