NewbieJr 541 Posted November 25, 2008 If something happened that never let these players play another down, would they be Hall of Famers? My votes: Warner- No Brady- Yes LT- No Moss- No Polamalu- No What say you?
td parker 1 Posted November 25, 2008 I'd change Brady to a no, other than that looks good.
nyjetsfan 0 Posted November 25, 2008 Warner - maybe if he wins his 3rd mvp brady - yes LT - Yes - top 5 back all time Moss - Yes - the most dominating WR ever Polamalu - no
Patriotsfatboy1 1,432 Posted November 25, 2008 LT will be a yes, Brady will be a definite. Warner is probably going in (has SB win, MVP's, long time stats). Moss is going in as well (you could have TO as a definite). Polamalu does not have enough time logged to be considered (6th season).

NorthernVike 2,082 Posted November 25, 2008 if they never play another down is the key here. It's the hall of fame, not the hall of good. no no no no no Brady is already a lock for a first ballot HOF. You suck at life.
RamslovaMartzhata 3 Posted November 25, 2008 Warner - maybe Polamalu - no (but will be soon enough) Everyone else most definitely a yes, and first ballot one at that.

NewbieJr 541 Posted November 25, 2008 How is LT not a yes? And why is Polamalu on this list? To me, LT needs a few more good years. He's kind of ending things witha fizzle if he were to have to retire now. He had a few great seasons but didn't sustain long enough to be an all-time great, IMO. parrot 789 Posted November 25, 2008 Warner - maybe Had Warner as a No but rethinking it looking at the numbers a little more. We all remember the SB and the MVPs and how prolific he was during the Rams halcyon days, but he was pretty damn efficient too. Third in career passer rating behind Young and Manning, second in completion percentage behind Pennington. It was easy to forget just how good he was - until he has reminded us this year. hines86rules 0 Posted November 25, 2008 If something happened that never let these players play another down, would they be Hall of Famers? My votes: Warner- No Brady- Yes LT- No Moss- No Polamalu- No What say you? Warner - yes. look at some of the lists he's on and he has a SB and MVP Brady - yes , if Bradshaw is in, so is Brady LT - Yes Moss - Yes Polamalu - no, not yet
The Hood 9 Posted November 25, 2008 How is LT not a yes? And why is Polamalu on this list? Good questions. LT has the 14th most rushing yards. 5th best rush yards per game. 3rd in rushing TD's and 6th in total TD's. Best RB in the game for more years than most great ones have been. He would be in 1st ballot. And I think he a bit of a whiny punk too. Moss might have enough to get in now too. WR's are tough to tell because lots of guys have great stats that are never getting in. Moss's dominance for many of his playing years and so many TD's I think would put him in. Brady - yes. Don't think he should be at this point but but HOF voters love to put in QB's and the 3 Superbowl's would get him in plus the sympathy that this injury ended his career coming off the best QB season ever. Warner - no
TD Ryan2 316 Posted November 25, 2008 Brady and Moss = Already In Warner and LT = maybe Polamalu = not even close yet
Trojan35 0 Posted November 25, 2008 While Polamalu is the biggest play safety I've seen since Ronnie Lott, defensive players with short careers do not make it into the HoF. He'll need more games played to get in.
jvirne 0 Posted November 25, 2008 If they never played another down? Brady - 1st ballot HOF Peyton Manning - 1st ballot HOF Farve - the most obvious 1st ballot HOFer still playing. Moss - might have to wait a couple years, but yes. Warner - I think he'd eventually get in. He'll be one of those guys who linger around in the top 15 for years, but he'll eventually get in, especially since he's doing so well again. If it were based only on his St. Louis years, there's no way. Though he retired last year, I'll mention that Jonathon Ogden will be another first ballot HOF. He absolutely DOMINATED at his position for over a decade. Walter Jones is a strong candidate. Kevin Mawae is a HOFer. Maybe not first ballot, but he's in for sure. Ray Lewis will get in. Like Moss, he might have to wait a couple years, but he's in. Ed Reed? Hmmm. I think he's ahead of Polamalu at this point, but if either of their careers ended tomorrow, neither would get into the HOF. Both are 1 or 2 good years away from making it though. I HATE to admit this, but T.O. will get in too.
jvirne 0 Posted November 25, 2008 Here's a more interesting one: What about Jamal Lewis? I want to say NO WAY, but he does have the 2nd most yards in a single season, at one time held the most yards in a single game record, AND has a Superbowl ring. Plus he's still playing quite well. Not amazing, but for his age and wear, he's still a productive RB. I think he'll get in.
parrot 789 Posted November 25, 2008 I have to revise what I said about Warner before, he is actually First in career completion percentage and first in yards per game. That combination of stats alone should get any QB with a moderately lengthy career into the hall of fame.
Four More Beers 0 Posted November 25, 2008 I'd vote for all of them, but I agree with all those that say that Troy P. probably isn't in yet and Warner is borderline. You guys that think Brady isn't already a lock are off your rockers.
Foghorn Leghorn 0 Posted November 25, 2008 I agree with this too.
Dallas_Empire 0 Posted November 26, 2008 Randy Moss has the best chance to take Rice's yards and TD record. Moss is still only 30 and now second all time in TDs. The guy is a HOFer.
redtodd 7 Posted November 26, 2008 Surprised you didn't take LT. I think he is a 1st ballot HOF. Warner will be interesting, but I think he will get there. Maybe not the 1st try. Too soon for Palumalu. Moss is in.
JT 137 Posted November 26, 2008 all are locks except Polamalu. He probably needs to play 8-10 years.
Stalker711 0 Posted November 26, 2008 Brady is a first ballot HOF, but I don't personally feel he's worthy. I think that just like Troy Aikman, he is a good game manager who can win some on his own, but only had 1 really dominant season. I don't care if he has 20 SB rings, if he wasn't a dominant QB, he's not worthy. I don't want to tak my kids to the HOF to show them really good game managers. I want to go there and show them the best players ever at each position. At this point, Drew Brees is more HOF worthy to me than Tom Brady.
Dont_Fook_Wit_me 0 Posted November 26, 2008 I know he has already stoped playing but do you think Bettis will be considered a HOf? I think so...... As for others i think they will all get in except polamalu

Dont_Fook_Wit_me 0 Posted November 26, 2008 Brady is a HOF. You are crazy. 4 sure, Honestly the only QB still playing that i think should and will get into the hall over him is Farve....I mean you can't deny all that Brady has done since he became a starter, I meen the playoff record he has, The SB's he has won, The records he has broken and made his, The way he made use of evryone on the feild.....Your crazy if you think he wont get in or dont deserve it... titans&bucs&bearsohmy! 2,745 Posted November 26, 2008 Randy Moss has the best chance to take Rice's yards and TD record. Moss is still only 30 and now second all time in TDs. The guy is a HOFer. Randy Moss will never touch Jerry's records. In order to perform at a high enough level for a long enough time, a receiver has to be extremely dedicated, run perfect routes, take excellent care of their body, etc. I just don't see a guy like Randy putting in the work it would take to be great long enough to catch Jerry. Once his freakish speed and jumping ability slips, Randy is done.
