Kingstowne Dealers 14 Posted December 3, 2008 who you benching and whatre you expecting??? Im bout to bench MJD after that awful texans game Unless the Green Bay RB situation is cleared up before Sunday I'm starting PT over Ryan Grant and Brandon Jackson. BunnysBastatrds 2,127 Posted December 3, 2008 I've got MJD also. After Sundays game, I don't know if I can play him again. I benched him last week when the Saints played the Packers. 2 TD's and 130+ ground and air. Atlanta is going to be tough. The Saints are at home though and the game is a sell out. The Saints need to win out for any chance to make the playoffs and everyone here is talking about Pierre Thomas being the 20+ carry back now that Deuce is out. Bush is still Bush. He'll get his receptions, but Thomas is the main back. Add in Brees and the passing game and there should be a few goal line carries. My options after AP are MJD, Kevin Smith, and Pierre Thomas. I think i'm leaning toward Thomas.
Texansfan 0 Posted December 3, 2008 MJD is riding pine for me. Right now I have Pierre Thomas in. I will keep him in unless Ryan Grant is ruled out, then I'll play Brandon Jackson who I just picked up.
Kilroy 0 Posted December 3, 2008 I plan on starting him in one league over Marion Barber this week. Our playoffs don't start until week 15 in that league though and I already have a playoff seed locked up. If it were a playoff game I may have a tougher time making that decision, but I still might've leaned towards Thomas anyway given Dallas is facing the Steelers and I'm not sure if Barber's toe is worth being concerned about. idiotekniQues 0 Posted December 4, 2008 i have pierre and reggie. started pierre last week and sat reggie bush -that was easy. this week im not so sure. anybody else in the same boat? starting westy as my rb1, i need my rb2
xbishopx 6 Posted December 4, 2008 I think I will be starting him over MBIII now in my first round, I was hoping to hear better news on MBIII by now but it doesn't sound like he'll do much with that injury at Pittsburgh no less in shitty weather. At least I have SJAX. I have liked what I've seen from Thomas so far and Payton likes him as his 1st/2nd down option, at least until Reggie is completely back. Now, am I crazy enough to bench Gore against a foaming at the mouth Jets D for Sammy Morris in Seattle
Skinny_Bastard 157 Posted December 4, 2008 Yes... He's been a top 10 RB the last 4 weeks. In the 2nd half, Payton finally started to 'get' it. Bush was lined up in the slot and Thomas was the primary back.
ChromeWeasel 0 Posted December 4, 2008 who you benching and whatre you expecting??? Im bout to bench MJD after that awful texans game I have him in right now, but the ranking here has me a little worried. FFtoday has him ranked #37 with 13 carries for 50 yards. That's horrible. Did you start him? I'm telling you folks, the guy is the real deal.
Belushi 9 Posted December 8, 2008 I started Turner and Grant over Thomas. Both played well, although not as well at Thomas. He looks like a steal for next year, and I have him in my dynasty. And unfortunately after yesterday, all I have left to look forward to is next year.
Borat33 17 Posted December 8, 2008 You guys like him next week at Chicago? I know he is an Illinois guy so I think he might play well again.
Skinny_Bastard 157 Posted December 8, 2008 You guys like him next week at Chicago? I know he is an Illinois guy so I think he might play well again. I'm thinking Brees shouldn't have a problem moving the ball in the air against this 28th rank pass defense. Thomas should get a few opportunities to punch one in. Here are my projection. 14 carries 60 yards 1 Rushing TD 5 Reception 30 yards
Skinny_Bastard 157 Posted December 8, 2008 One last note. Opponents have scored an average of 23.6 points per game against Chicago at home.
