Stifler 2 Posted August 29, 2009 Reports out of camp is that he is tearing it up. He has two TDs tonight and Rodgers continues to target him...just like their last game. I am keeping him on my radar.
Jeremy 0 Posted August 29, 2009 Shhhhh. This guy is the best kept secret out there. Or was before tonight.
Stifler 2 Posted August 29, 2009 As you can see from my signature block, I picked him up. I had Celek...meh. If he doesn't pan out, I will just pick up another worthless TE.
skittles 0 Posted August 29, 2009 I've picked him up putting my 20 man roster at an alarming 3 Tight Ends: Dallas Clark Visanthe Shiancoe Jermichael Finley I've been staring at this guy since last year. Physical specimen and the team loves him. He's like what Vernon Davis was supposed to be for the last 5 years. Now I think I'm gonna trade Dallas Clark. DamageIncVacc 6 Posted August 29, 2009 Got Vernon Davis and Brandon Pettigrew as my TE's so I will drop Pettigrew most likley for him. He looks like the real deal excpet he shares time with LEE. Waiting to see pettigrew tonight. He is a starter with no one to really challenge him for time but coming off an injury .
illest 0 Posted August 29, 2009 Finley is the real deal no question but how many opportunities will he have in that offense (in the regular season...)? Lee is a better blocker so he's going to start, Finley will see passing downs and two tight end sets but even then the pack have one of the deepest and most talented receiving corps in the league: Jennings, Driver, Jones, Nelson, now add Finley. With Finley looking so good I think the biggest fantasy impact is a slight downgrade to Greg Jennings because some of those plays that might have been 5 yard slats to Jennings for a TD could now be to Finley. illest 0 Posted August 29, 2009 I just reviewed the highlights and what Finley has going for him even more than his uber-talent is the way the packers used him. On one touchdown he was lined up in the slot and the other touchdown he was lined up wide! If they actually use him in that fashon he could be a very very good TE1. Man, I don't know what to think but with all these weapons the packers have I'm not feeling so great about drafting Jennings. As a Jennings owner I can only hope that future regular season opponents put enough heat on the packers o-line that they can't rely on their TE as only a receiving threat.
