travelocity 0 Posted September 24, 2009 I just accepted an offer. (12 team, non-PPR, 6pts/all TDs) My Team before trade: Hasslebeck, Slaton, Rice, McGahee, DBrown, LWashington, JDavis, RMoss, Owens, Housh, LMoore, Sims-Walker, Clark, Folk. His Team before trade: Romo, EManning, LT, RGrant, LWhite, RWilliams, Marshall, LEvans, RandelEl, Crayton, Gage, MarkClayton, BWatson, Kaeding. I get: Eli Manning, Brandon Marshall, Justin Gage He gets: Matt Hasslebeck, Terrell Owens, Leon Washington. The best QBs on the waiver wire are Kerry Collins, Mark Sanchez, Kyle Orton, and Jason Campbell. Did I just overpay for an overrated Eli Manning?

Tomahawk Chopper 0 Posted September 24, 2009 Well, my thoughts are this: I'd personally like Hasselbeck over Manning. Manning did look good against Dallas, but Hasselbeck's looked good (until he got hurt). If he comes back as he should, I think he'll out perform Eli. However, you've got something else going there with the TO/Marshall trade that might be big by the end of the season. I don't like Orton at all, but Marshall might make him look as good as Cutler (did). Since you asked: I wouldn't have traded so quick myself, but you might look like a genius in another 3 weeks. skyyaa 0 Posted September 24, 2009 Hate to say it but although I think you basically broke even, I think he may have gotten more upside out of that trade. Eli is a bit > than Hasselbeck (especially with the injury), but T.O. is also a bit > than Marshall and IMHO has a greater upside this year with Orton at QB. And Leon definitely has more upside than Gage, who won't crack your lineup. It could work out if Eli keeps throwing the ball as much as he is, but you did take a risk. TimHauck 2,483 Posted September 25, 2009 I would say it's pretty much dead even.
