edjr 6,313 Posted September 28, 2009 anyone that thought Miami last year wasn't just an aberration was fooling themselves anyway. maybe they can run the wildcat 45 times a game now?

plasma george 62 Posted September 28, 2009 not much effect on fantasy world though Disagree, I'd say Ronnie Brown owners, and Ginn owners are taking a hit....if there offfense is the suck now. (see Raiders WRs and RBs).

GhostofMeanMachine99 1 Posted September 28, 2009 Purely a speculative opinion here, but I would not be surprised to see Miami reach out to Philly and find out what the price tag would be for Michael Vick. It was reported during the summer that Miami was interested in signing him, and had plans to, before the Eagles came in. Eagles have 4 QB's, they can hold onto 4 for at least two more weeks (bye week and before McNabb's activation), which means that Garthia shouldn't be available to them this week. Vick can immediately fill a need in the wildcat and spell Henne. I don't believe there are any viable QB options on the FA market right now.

Dude, how old are you ?...your knowledge of football is that of a 7 year old. There's a reason for backups, cause they're far inferior to the starting QB. AND, you need a passing attack to setup the run and vice versa, and the team with the ball is called offense, and the team trying to stop them is the defense. It might be a long time before Miami wins another game, and it could be very difficult for them to get into position to have a rushing TD. I'd sell Ronnie "purple" Brown now before the realty of the Raiders sets in.
WhiteWonder 2,485 Posted September 29, 2009 its a shame for one of the class acts in the league. and yeah he has already been comeback player of the year twice now and deservedly so. I don't forsee a 3rd time as he is now also getting up there in age. I just wonder how good he could have been if it wasn't for all those injuries.

Pennerton has ZERO effect on the wildcat, considering he's not even in the game on those plays, and those plays do just fine. Joke's on you if you really thought James Chadwick Pennerton's 76 rating, 1 to 2 td to int ratio, 3 fumbles, and 6 sacks have opened up anything.

He is'nt a great "fantasy" player but he is a pretty darn good NFL QB and a real class act. Really sucks for the guy and I agree, this will most likely be the end of his career. There is a HUGE difference between a back up and someone that was brought in to be the Future of the franchise. They were going to start Henne next year anyway, it just came sooner. a "backup" is someone that cant win the starting job, they were just giving henne time and the time is now!
