jgcrawfish 232 Posted November 3, 2009 I'm probably gonna try and get Kevin Walter off WW but was also thinking about Gonzalez. Any Indy homers on here know his status for this weekend? WR spot is killing my team.

edjr 6,578 Posted November 3, 2009 CBS says he's likely out this weekend. I'd start him with confidence
jgcrawfish 232 Posted November 3, 2009 With Owen Daniels out, I'd grab Walter. yeah, i think he'll see some redzone love from Schaub again, which might help because I have Schaub. I'm just tired of being disappointed (for the most part) by the trio of Jennings, Marshall and Boldin.
kutulu 1,659 Posted November 3, 2009 Would not be surprised if they put him back on the field in two weeks...for the Indy-NE SNF contest. per usatoday.com: —WR Anthony Gonzalez (knee) is continuing his rehab and might be able to begin full practice workouts this week. Gonzalez' status will be updated Wednesday or Thursday.
De Novo 0 Posted November 4, 2009 Going for a 2nd opinion on his knee this week. I was suspicious of the injury from the get-go but figured he'd be back within 10 weeks. I think it's time to cut bait.
PATSSOX 22 Posted November 4, 2009 Anthony Gonzalez goes for 2nd opinion on knee Gonzalez Colts coach Jim Caldwell revealed Wednesday that Anthony Gonzalez is getting a second opinion on his lingering knee injury. Beat writer Phil B. Wilson calls it "not a good sign" and doesn't expect Gonzalez to return "anytime soon." The second opinion will presumably come from Dr. James Andrews, and is being pursued to find out whether Gonzalez needs surgery on his sprained torn PCL. Strongly consider dropping Gonzalez if there are potential impact players on your waiver wire. jgcrawfish 232 Posted November 4, 2009 i packaged Boldin/Felix Jones for Santonio Holmes/Derrick Ward. Jones is my 5th RB, and Cowboy homer wanted him. Trade went thru this morning, come to find out that Boldin may miss a week or two. If things work out right, I'll flip Schaub/Fargas/Marshall for Rivers/Colston. I'd be fairly happy with Jennings/Colston/Holmes to put into 2 spots. If it doesn't, I still have Jennings/Marshall/Holmes. It's a small trade, but I think turned lemons (Boldin) into something I repackage for lemonade. On the other hand, if that one doesn't work out, I may turn around and try and package Marshall/Holmes for an upgrade again...in talks for Fitz. If that works out, I'll have Fitz+Jennings. Also talking with the Vincent Jackson and Roddy White owners. I'll get this fixed up. Getting rid of depth for quality.
Mack 1 6 Posted November 5, 2009 I'd stay away from Gonzo this year. This has the makings of what the Colts did to Marvin Harrison owners several years ago...stringing them along all season. Buyer beware of Gonzalez for 2009.
msudavedawg 5 Posted November 5, 2009 Here's your news: he has no FF relevance this year. Let's say the guy was actuall practicing right now. We're 8 games in and he has not played since week 1. His conditioning is zilch. Throw in being in game shape on top of that. Then he would need several games to knock off the rust and get back in synch with Manning. There are other (better) options out there. Walters, Floyd, Wallace, Harvin, Chambers, etc.
Kent 228 Posted November 5, 2009 At this point its odd they don't put him on IR and free up a roster spot.
