Where is Aromashodu?

Recommended Posts

I know his knee was dinged up but Bennet is getting all the time in 3 WR sets. Maybe I missed a report, but is there any reason he literally hasnt seen the field once?

seriously - where is he? started him over nicks and he doesn't have a catch yet!

lol...what's unreal is that after one week, you guys thought you were onto some major trend.

This is what happens when you try to find trends after only 1 week of NFL play.

He was injured this week so that's what probably happened.

Trend? He finished last year with around 200 yards and 3 tds in the last two games. He had 70 yards last week and was targeted 9 times. He was second on the depth chart behind Knox coming into the week. He is definitely a better receiver than Earl Bennett, who was in on all 3 WR sets. This was not a case of the team just giving up on a player, if that were the case he would at least see the field a couple times. He had knee issues coming into the week. I'm not writing him off just yet, he's proved himself when he plays.

i said he was simply the trendy flavor amongst bears WR's this offseason. Hester... Earl Bennett... Knox... Aromashodu

Aramoshodu: Drafted 7th round by the Dolphins. Cut by the Colts, Texans and Redskins before landing on his 5th NFL team, Da Bears. Diamond in the rough? Sure. Raw talent? Sure. Maybe not as good as you'd like to think despite a couple good games? Possibly.

I agree he is not a stud. He is an undervalued journey man but by no means a top tier WR. My point is that I doubt he got benched today, and when he returns he is still one of Cutler's favorite. I could be way off base but I expect him to come back and still be productive.

but this is the same song and dance we have heard regarding every Bears WR since Cutler joined the team, including Olsen.

Aroma may give you some good games but I highly doubt he ends up standing out in this WR group.

I hear you, I guess I look at Aromashodu as a receiver with upside in a Mike Martz offense. Neither Holt or Bruce had to separate from the group, they were both productive. He's not ever going to be Andre but he still has some value in deeper leagues when he's on the field.

At any rate I didn't start this thread as a debate on Aromashodu's value. I was trying to see if anyone had insight on him not being in the game. From what I've read noone really knows, he just went mysteriously invisible.
