Cuda1337 1 Posted November 13, 2011 Tebow does more with less than any QB ever. He will score you 20 points and look like the worst QB doing it. EVER. And he does it every week. It's so strange.

The long TD pass and TD run make it somewhat berable...but holy crap he and Denver suck. 3-1 in the last 4 games tells me there are 3 other teams you could hate on for really sucking. like the 5-4 raiders , 4-5 chiefs or the 2-7 dolphins. If you watched you would see that at least 2 passes bounced off receiver hands, one was a throw away and another was a dropped shovel pass ( to avoid a loss of yardage) Wow people like to fixate on Tebow, and the more he wins, the more people like you like to take shot at him ( the people that professed we would suck more with Tebow than with Orton) It is unbelievable that after the broncos win (even with stuffing the ball down KC's throat) all people can do is come to these boards and ###### about broncos and Tebow sucking instead of talking about the team we just beat. Was it the weirdest game plan you have ever seen? Probably. Did it work? yep. Will the game plan change next week? Most likely! a lot of people seem overly interested in having Tebow fail. You will most likely have to continue bitching until the end of this season.

KC does suck. So he might have been 4/8 still throwing just 50% and Im supposed to be impressed? I don't fixate on him at all. This thread was started, I responded because a comment of him doing more with less was ridiculous. Denver still sucks...they are just lucky to be in a sucky division to still have a chance. The ball was stuffed down the Chief's throat with the running game, not just Tebow. I have no interest in him succeeding or failing other than I believe in the long run he will fail as an NFL QB. I don't think teams led by him will consistently win or succeed.

While I would normally agree with you on something like this, you must look at the facts and the numbers. 47 of 107 completed on the season. 3 of his wins have come against an OAK team that was finding their identity, a KC team that has never heard of the word consistency and a MIA team that was still 0 for the season. The guy is pretty good but he got waxed by a marginal Lions team that has been exposed. The rest of the schedule does not bode well for him outside of a few games. He has to go to a SD team that has already beat him. CHI and NYJ both come to town within the next month and he'll have to get into a shootout with NE. Personally, I dont see him winning any of those games. Once teams get some tape on him, it'll be a wrap. At this point teams just haven't schemed properly for him, yet. And if I am wrong, I will gladly come back and admit such.

I am not saying we are good, I am saying the dude is beating teams he should? And with that he is still a young QB in his 7th NFL start and is now 4-3 lifetime. I agree, I want to see how the rest of the season plays out - but at least I do hold hope that we can win some games that I did not think we could over the past 3 years. Next week will be a test. Cuda1337 1 Posted November 14, 2011 Let's just look at a few things here. I am not going to say Tebow will be great or suck, but everyone seems to think he is the worst QB ever. But let's look at his situation. He is still basically a rookie. Having made less than 8 starts now... clearly he has a LOT of learning to do. Tons of rookies do bad, really bad. His best WR was traded right before he took over starting. His other receivers are... marginal at best? His O-line is average. His defense isn't that good, so they have to control the clock. He doesn't make mistakes. He may not make great throws, but he doesn't throw interceptions either. He is very cautious with the ball it seems. When he breaks out of that caution (end of game, comeback mode) you see that he can make some of those throws. He's just REALLY cautious during the flow of the game it seems. And, early in the game today he lost his #1 and #2 RB's for the whole game. Yet they still won. It may have been ugly, but he got the job done, again. Will he beat the Jets this week? No. But then again neither would Cassel, Palmer, Painter, Jackson, Grossman/Beck, Moore, Bradford, Freeman, McNabb etc... He will probably lose a lot of games this year, but let's be honest. The BRONCOS don't have talent. Especially with McGahee/Moreno hurt now. If you put him on a talented team, with a bit more experience... maybe, just maybe he could be a good qb. He's not exactly in an ideal situation here.

So far the Jets have two games of tape to study on the new look offense ( and today's being just running the ball). I am sure we will have a new wrinkle in store for Thursday as well. Also, the Jets run D has not been the greatest this year.

Tebow sucks...did not really say that...I said his passing was/is pathetic. IT IS. Its not about gaudy stats...2/8 is far below gaudy. And as I stated, his rushing FF wise will make up for his craptastic passing. The only thing I did was disagree with a guy doing more with less. 2/8 for 69 yards and a TD is not doing more than anything. I guess I am not allowed to have an opinion about him or the Broncos though since it apparently hurts your feelings.

ssharpe12 0 Posted November 14, 2011 I sort of mentioned this in another thread, but in the 2010 draft, Tebow went 25th overall. The Broncos drafted Thomas just 2 picks before that and the Bills drafted Spiller at #9. As bad as Tebow has looked as a passer, he does have a winning record on a crappy team (yes, Denver is a very crappy team that has a large talent gap when compared with the rest of the league). What has Thomas and Spiller done for their teams?

SaintsInDome2006 211 Posted November 14, 2011 John Skelton has owned this assclown over the last 2 weeks. Actually in my standard scoring 6pts/TD 1pt/25Pyrds etc league Tebow outscored Skelton by 11 points last week. Overall Tebow has outscored Skelton over the course of 2 weeks, about 45-43. nobody 2,461 Posted November 15, 2011 Tebow is the luckiest qb I've ever seen. Orton comes in and loses close games to Oakland, Tennessee, and SD, and gets blown out by Green Bay, and beats Cincy. Everyone starts crying for Tebow who comes in against an awful Dolphins team and lucks into a win thanks to Sporano's stupid 2 point try, an onside kick, and the defense forcing a fumble in Denver field goal range in OT. Praise Tebow! Then they get shellacked by the Lions, and the coach is sabotaging him and the team sucks. They need to change the offense for him. Nevermind changing the offense for Orton and recognizing the team sucked when he was playing too. They insitute the zone option read just for him, and Tebow plays a pretty decent game against the Raiders who's QB was making his first start since coming in off the street and without their best player. McGahee rushes for 160 yards and the defense gets 3 picks and they return a special teams TD because those guys suck so much. Praise Tebow! Then they run 50 times, and beat up a horrible Kansas City team that has the second worst coach in the league1 that let's them get away with throwing 8 passes. Praise Tebow! 132. Sprarno, 31. Haley, 30. Jim Caldwell, 29. Hue Jackson Tebow put up a stat line that is worth laughing at. Who cares if people laugh it? He is what he is... a wishbone quarterback playing in the passing era. Winning is all that matters in the league. No matter how you get it done. I don't consider it luck.
