posty 2,486 Posted December 20, 2011 http://espn.go.com/blog/nfceast/post/_/id/34150/breakfast-links-a-big-apple-battle Shanahan revealed on Monday that rookie running back Roy Helu played with knee and toe injuries Sunday, and that makes me wonder if the Redskins will look for ways to decrease Helu's workload over these final two weeks so they can make sure nothing too terrible happens to him in advance of next year. They may want to look at Evan Royster a bit anyway.

The Next Generation 10 Posted December 20, 2011 Roy Helu (toe, ankle) was held out of team drills at Redskins practice Tuesday Helu was dealing with several nagging injuries in Sunday's win over the Giants, including a knee ailment. a worthless o-line, so the coach thought it best to rest him. He was able to go through position drills only on Tuesday. The Redskins may list Helu as questionable to face Minnesota. Dec 20 - 2:04 PM
SaintsInDome2006 211 Posted December 21, 2011 The Skins did just lose their tackle, right? Willie Smith, at right tackle? https://twitter.com/#!/granthpaulsen/statuses/147820670607298561 Yikes. Does it matter if it was injuries or him just being worn out from being assaulted? Last week I started him over ADP; this week I think I go ADP over Helu. Also I think that's Royster sniffing around, I've trusted Shanahan long enough I think.
