GridironGuzzlers 3 Posted February 24, 2012 I'm joining a fantasy baseball league for the first time in over 10 years. Wondering if any of you can recommend some sites that are as good as this one is for football. Thanx
Jarvis Basnight 119 Posted February 24, 2012 Razzball. Sometimes a little too jokey but a lot of good stuff there. The forums are pretty active during the season.

Chronic Husker 85 Posted February 25, 2012 Razzball. Sometimes a little too jokey but a lot of good stuff there. The forums are pretty active during the season. Razzball is a great site to visit on a daily basis due to the jokes, alone. Â If you don't give a fock about baseball and only play so you have a reason to watch Sports Center in the summer, check it on Friday mornings and you'll prolly win your league. titans&bucs&bearsohmy! 2,745 Posted February 27, 2012 Yes, go outside and watch grass grow. Then periodically start a slap fight with neighborhood kids. That would roughly approximate what you are looking for.

That would roughly approximate what you are looking for. Â Why would anyone want to end up on the registered offender list like you? Â Fantasy baseball isn't illegal, nor is it the equivalent of watching grass grow.

Raider 84 29 Posted February 28, 2012 So does your face. As bad as my face is, I rather stare at it in the mirror for 3 hours than watch baseball! And I got one fugly face!
jocstrap 8 Posted February 28, 2012 The "B" word is not said on this board. "BORING" has other sites I'm sure that are active, but not football related. Â google search lazy, fat, rednecks that can't compete in athletic sports therefore baseball was invented.
Jarvis Basnight 119 Posted February 28, 2012 Baseball is easy to knock because it's a slower game than others.....although I'm not sure it's much slower than football. Football is exciting for 5 seconds, then boring for 30 seconds, then exciting for 5 seconds, then boring for another 30 seconds, then there's a penalty, then there's a play review (commercial), then there's a timeout, then there's a TV timeout, then there's an exciting TD which lasts 5 seconds, then there's an extra point, then another commercial, then back for the kickoff, then a commercial. Â You can knock football just like you can baseball. The big difference I see between the 2? Baseball hasn't changed their rules at all. Football changes their rules to fit their needs quite a bit. Prima Donna QB's can only be hit inside of an area smaller than a strike zone. That's become pretty ghey. Â I like football and love fantasy football. I love fantasy baseball more. It's much more fun with more positions to manage and a roster you get to track every day. You don't sit around picking your nose while waiting for Sunday like with the NFL. Â There are several things I loathe about baseball... Â 1. It is SOOOO slow. The pitcher pitches, it is called, then he and the batter scratch their balls for a while, then again... Â 2. There is basically only one play. A hit of some kind. So even when "excitement" happens, its boring and predictible. Â 3. There are SOOOO many focking games, that no one means sqat. Therefore there is little sense of urgency to win a particular game. Â 4. The game is stacked. There are a handful of teams that will always contend. There are a handful that will always blow. There is a large mediocrity in the middle.

Anything can happen and usually does in baseball. Â 3 - This is true. They should lop off about 22 games and have their playoffs/WS in September. Â 4 - You have no clue what you're talking about. Since 2000 we have NE (5 SB's), Pittsburgh (3 SB's), NYG (3 SB's), St. Louis (2 SB's), and Indy (2 SB's). In MLB we have NYY (4 WS), St Louis (3 WS), Texas (2 WS), Philadelphia (2 WS), Boston (2 WS), and San Francisco (2 WS). Baseball gets ripped for their lack of a salary cap but tell me, which has more parody?

The pitcher will pitch, the hitter will swing, and maybe, just maybe, some dude will get a chance to try to catch it. Rinse and repeat. Yawn. Â 3. 140 games is still way too many. I'm thinking like 50 would be ok. Â 4. First of all, the word is parity, not parody. Â And yes, some NFL franchises are always good, some always suck. But that is purely because they are better run, and made better decisions. It isn't because one team had three times the payroll of another. All the teams have the same resources availiable. From there it is on them.

Meh...... 1 Football has way too many breaks and therefore is annoying as hell. 2 The QB will throw, the QB will hand off, the defense will try to stop it, and maybe, just maybe, there will be a big play and not an incompletion or a 1 yard run. 3 140 games would be just fine. 4 Great argument. Â St. Louis, Tampa Bay, San Francisco are very good MLB franchises that do not have the same payroll as the east coast teams but have had huge success because they're so well run.
