I've drafted once already - 12 team/1 player keeper league - and I didn't like my keeper (I had nothing better than Roddy White). He was IMO the worst keeper in the league (even the two new teams had far better choices). Even with White as my best (weak) keeper, I managed to finish middle of the pack through waiver wire work, but it didn't put me in a good position this year, where I drafted 6th - meaning I was able to choose essentially the 17-19th best ADP player as my first new pick.

I went with Stafford first. Figured I needed an elite something. Then I went with best available players for several rounds, and used the "throw RB spaghetti against the wall, to see what sticks" strategy. Here's what I ended up with:

Stafford

Fitzpatrick

Fred Jackson

BJGE

Ridley

Kevin Smith

Royster

Rashad Jennings

Kendall Hunter

Roddy

Cruz

Harvin

Keller

Ravens

Gould

Meh. I'm gonna have to get lucky - though I'm really strong @ WR. Hoping to pull a RB+player trade for Gates to make me stronger later.

I just never like taking QB early and never have. I think the top 5 QB's are on a rotation so can get good value throughout the draft. #1 pick and you don't take Arian Foster? He has a huge edge over every other RB on a point per game basis. Can't say that for Rodgers. Top 5 are too close for me to take Rodgers with my first overall pick.

I'm in a league where our scoring system favors quarterbacks. In this year, you get 1pt for EVERY 15yards. I knew that we me picking 1st, I would have no shot of getting one of those top 5 qb's if I didn't take one in the 1st.....hence the reason.. In my league, Rodgers averaged 41.1 pts a game. Foster averaged 17.8 pts. And this is just based on my league's scoring. Once I saw the break down, it became a no brainer for me.

Well that makes a big difference, but more importantly, it is the difference between QB's, not RB's but I see why you went with Rodgers

10 team, standard scoring, start qb/rb/wr/wr/flex/te/k/def, drafted 7th

Vick, Cutler

D. Murray, A. Petterson, MJD, Shonn Greene, Beanie Wells

Megatron, R. White, Jeremy Maclin, Kenny Britt

Jacob Tamme

S. Janikowski

Ravens

Took a lot of gambles - could finish high or could fiinish dead last - injuries and a holdout are holding the cards. We'll see.

I like the hell out of it.

Not a huge fan of any of your RB's beyond Murray but I love the rest for sure. You may need to stomach playing Greene or Wells early but one of those 2 past studs will come up big for you during the season.

I'm warming to Vick, thinking he could be a value pick (winning at rhymes). That's a seriously explosive team top to bottom.

12team, standard, #12pick.

QB: Ben, Luck, R Wilson

RB: Murray, Mathews, BJGE, Spiller, Ryan Williams

WR: Colston, Harvin, Stevie J, N Wash

TE: Celek, Keller, Rudolph

10team, really high performance scoring, limited bench, really stupid other owners, #10pick.

QB: Stafford, Flacco

RB: Charles, Fred Jax, D Martin

WR: Megatron, S Smith, Torrey Smith, DHB, Blackmon

TE: Graham, Daniels

14-team standard:

QB: Vick, Russell

RB: RRice, Ingram, KSmith, Leshoure, Gerhardt, Vereen

WR: Cruz, Antonio Brown, Miles Austin, Titus Young

TE: Jimmy Graham

K: None yet - waiver wire

D: Atlanta

I seriously blew my 2nd RB - I'll be scouring the WW and looking for a trade. I'd also like a better backup QB given that Vick is my starter. Otherwise I think my WR depth is really good and Rice / Graham should win me some games. I got lucky but didn't have a very good draft.

I can't even remember the results of my 10-team work league except that I somehow got McFadden, Forte and DMurray along with Romo and Ryan. I recall thinking I just crushed my competition though. Course, those guys have no idea what they're doing at all.

My friend drafted him and I was all over him for it. I had him last year, and he was damn productive but man he was slowwwww. I knew 2011 was the last time he would ever be on a roster of mine. I made sure to kneecap my buddy by snagging Rodgers at the end of the draft.

"Really high performance scoring/really stupid other owners" doesn't begin to describe how you ended up with some of the guys you drafted. Megatron fell to you at #10? Not to mention you landed Stafford/Graham & Charles at the back end of the draft?

Not busting your chops, because you exploited their lack of knowledge. I thought I drafted with some world class dips#*'s but your league mates are in a class by themselves. Nice team for sure!

Team 1 - 10 Teamer PPR, 1QB/2RB/2WR/1TE/1Flex, 6 pts All TD, #7 spot (bleh)

QB - Eli, Flacco

RB - McFadden, Forte, Doug Martin, Kevin Smith, Mark Ingram

WR - Marshall, Harvin, Antonio Brown, Garcon, Denarius Moore

TE - Gates

DST - Steelers

K - Who cares (Henery)

I opted to go McFadden and then couldn't pass on the value of Forte in 2nd. Surprised myself with Gates in the 3rd but since 7 QB's were gone I wasn't going to chase a bad value there and figured WR's were deep enough that I could catch up on them. Pretty happy with the core of McFadden/Forte/Martin/Marshall/Harvin/Brown/Gates in a PPR format. Still come good value on the WW if/when I need backup TE, etc. It's only a 10 teamer, but it's good proof that WR is pretty damned deep this year. I'll likely draft differently in the 12 teamer. Takeaways: I was shocked by how fast the QB's flew.

1st round: Rodgers (2), Brees (3), Brady (6), Stafford (8).

2nd round: Newton (16), Romo (20)

3rd round: Schaub (24) ?!?

4th round: Vick

5th round: Ryan

I honestly didn't expect 6 QB's to go in 20 picks.

Team 2 - TBD (12 team Dynasty PPR IDP)

Team 3 - TBD (12 team PPR)

Throwing mine out there. Note, an emergency at work forced me to leave the draft in Round 11, my league gave me "BPA" off someone's generic Top 200 list for the picks I had to miss, hence the Scott, Burleson and James Jones picks.

10 team league, which consists of 2 newbies and 2 guys who were drafting with their wives. It's a league with a lawyer friend of mine who asked me to fill a vacant spot in the league, which has a handful of other scumbag lawyers, so I don't feel that dirty taking their money. Very passing QB weighted...rodgers-brees-brady went 3 of top 4, and i figured i'd have to grab ryan at 10, but idiots let stafford-megatron drop, which is quite an enticing combo...i also could have grabbed julio or lynch at the 3-4 turn, but figured i needed a rb and i like charles upside more than lynch's in a high performance league....granted, this is WAYYYY more thinking than anyone else in the league did...

now watch...with this stacked team, stafford and charles will go down early, martin and fred jax will split carries with their counterparts, and the idiot who took vick #9 overall and rivers in the 4th rd (!!!!!) will win the league as vick throws for 8,000yds.

i don't feel so bad, because two days prior i really struggled at the 12 spot in my real league...or what i consider struggled...kinda need murray and mathews to act like rb1's, or i'm in deep doodoo.

10 team league standard scoring. 4TD for QB and 6 for everything else.. And let me start off I know i didn't draft a defense. I will be doing match ups all year since its a 10 team league. I also know i don't have a backup QB but working on a trade to get McFadden and I lose forte and either Torrey/Pierre... After that I will pick up a russel wilson from the WW and figure out who to drop closer to week 1 start. Overall I am happy with my team.. very solid at WR & TE .. Looks like Romo dropped in everybody's draft. He went crazy late in my draft, I remember I already had him checked off my list (I was drunk and stupid)or I would have taken him as my backup.

Should be some nice value when all his targets are back in good health.
