ralphster 274 Posted September 28, 2012 Not sure who to start. Any help would be appreciated Voted for Ryan - not even close for me. TB DEF has been stingy too. mine: http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=408731
hannibal_lecter 0 Posted September 29, 2012 I think it's difficult to sit Matt Ryan right now. RGIII is going to have his hands full with the Tampa Bay defense, especially since they are going to come after him and probably get under his skin which will rattle him. I think Ryan at home is the smarter choice this week.
Plexx 0 Posted September 29, 2012 this is a tough call I would probably go with RGIII just for the additional potential on the ground...and if atlanta goes up a few scores their running game has been struggling i'm sure it'll find itself against carolina. thx for mine
panthers3 0 Posted September 29, 2012 Definitely Ryan IMO, after watching Cam vs. the Bucs in week 1 I think RGIII will have a lot of the same problems. I understand they aren't they same player but they have many similarities. The Bucs continued to get to Cam very quickly pressuring his throws which impacted his decision making. They also did a good job at not letting him escape the pocket and creating plays, they relentlessly came after him the WHOLE game. While Matt Ryan is playing a secondary that sucks and a D line that can't pressure the passer. Eli Manning was sacked 1 time last week and was hardly ever hurried, with that time to throw and a young, relatively in-experienced secondary I'd say Ryan is a no brainer...BTW I am a panthers fan haha. (Hoping for a reverse-jinx).
The_GW 0 Posted September 29, 2012 I am an RG3 believer and he is the #1 FFB player right now. However, right behind him is Ryan. It seems that RG3 really has to work for his stats with Garcon out and him grinding out yardage with Morris and taking a lot of hits. Ryan just airs it out effortlessly and he has so many more offensive weapons. Also, he is at home playing a subpar CAR team that is hemorrhaging fantasy points to opposing teams no matter who they put in (see Brown, Barden). RG3 does have the rushing allure, but TB has the best run defense in the league and can get to opposing QBs. I have to play RG3 and hope for the best, but if I had Ryan, he would be a must start and have an easy time putting up numbers.
