Gandalfthecat 8 Posted November 2, 2012 Starting RBs everywhere have some value, but what if that Batch shows up? Or perhaps they simply won't run the ball that much? Any thoughts?
jgilkey513 6 Posted November 2, 2012 Tough matchup but a starter is a starter. Really depends on who you have on the bench
edjr 6,300 Posted November 2, 2012 he did quite well in their playoff game last year vs the Donkeys
idiotec 31 Posted November 2, 2012 Nothing points to a lot of success here but with Sproles out and bye weeks he's in for me. I am guessing he only sees starting lineups for people equally as desperate.
McBain 13 Posted November 2, 2012 If you have to start him, you'll at least feel a little better knowing Chase Blackburn, Giant's starting middle linebacker, is out for this game.
megatron's mom 6 Posted November 2, 2012 Him or p Thomas for me this week. Injuries blow
pee-diddy 27 Posted November 2, 2012 In PPR leagues I think he's a pretty good spot start. He may be good for 20-25 touches. Anyone think that's too optimistic? This game has the makings of a shootout!
Uberjamb 0 Posted November 2, 2012 So, Redman or Felix Jones this week? Any guesses on the better potential?
GreenTD 56 Posted November 2, 2012 Great! Finally put in a waiver claim for Dwyer & he's out. Now I have to roll with Tate or BGE as my RB2 this week due to our stupid waiver system.... Ugh!

DrG 102 Posted November 3, 2012 I am wondering if Rainey is the 3rd down back here.

GreenTD 56 Posted November 3, 2012 don't worry your choice got easier, Tate is out. Thanks for the info. I'm a Bengals fan & I can't even get excited about starting BGE. Hopefully there's a PI call in the endzone & BGE gets a goalline TD because that's the only way he's getting over 6 points this week.
murf74 461 Posted November 3, 2012 I am wondering if Rainey is the 3rd down back here. Yes but that will be case regardless of who starts for Steelers...he is lethal in open space. If you look at steeler rb starter stats over the last 4 weeks they have been solid. Their oline is jelling and adams at rt is a dominant run tackle not so much at pass protection
pee-diddy 27 Posted November 4, 2012 Anyone care to predict Redman's stats and how many touches he'll get tomrrow?

DrG 102 Posted November 4, 2012 I have Rainey in a return league. Anyone think he catches 3 or 4 passes today?
plasma george 62 Posted November 4, 2012 This situation is about to get FOCKED. Us Mendy owners that got Dwyer have been lucky with injuries that there's been a clear starter. Enter this week, Mendy and Dwyer are OUT, and we were able to get lucky and grab Redman. Enter Next Week. Mendy and/or Dwyer back.....RBBC 3 ?....mendy 1st and 2nd, Redman 3rd down, Dwyer Goalline ? pee-diddy 27 Posted November 4, 2012 Proper Focked! Pitt will prolly just continue to ride the hot, healthy hand. They feel comfy w/ any of those 3 RB's. If they're all healthy or close to it, why wldn't they just keep doing what they're doing? Sucks for us but itz working for them.
WR Guru 31 Posted November 4, 2012 The Steelers have discovered a running game in the past couple of weeks and with Redman being the only man standing, he makes a pretty good start, actually. Assuming that Redman is fully healthy, I wouldn't expect Batch to be a significant factor- only 7 total touches in the last 2 weeks even with Mendy and Redman both out. ray_ray420 5 Posted November 5, 2012 With Redman having a solid game, where does this leave him moving forward in the Steelers backfield??
murf74 461 Posted November 5, 2012 I think Steelers are the new Broncos of old when it comes to RB. I think that is 5 straight games of great steeler main back performance 1 by mendy 2 by dwyer 2 by Redman I think both Redman and dwyer deserve the bulk of carries....leave mendy as 3rd down and change of pace
WR Guru 31 Posted November 5, 2012 With Redman having a solid game, where does this leave him moving forward in the Steelers backfield?? It doesn't really matter who the back is. It's all about offensive line play for the Steelers right now, which has improved like night and day in just a few weeks. The way the backs are getting banged up, it will just be a matter of getting one of the 3 - Mendy/Redman/Dwyer - healthy enough to start and carry the load each week. Adams at right tackle is a huge improvement on the run game...and colon has settled in at guard which was an adjustment. Also the play at FB by Johnson who is a very raw guy also helps....Steelers refused to use FB under ariens
