IMMensaMind 460 Posted September 5, 2013 I drafted 3rd in a 12 team .3pt PPR league w/FLEX, and this is how it went down: Romo Tannehill Doug Martin SJAX David Wilson Joique Bell Jacquizz Rodgers Kendall Hunter Knile Davis Roy Helu Marques Colston Pierre Garcon Stevie Johnson Josh Gordon Lance Moore Vernon Davis Rian Lindell Denver D/ST My plan is to see how Josh Gordon works out/hope that one of my backup RBs hit it big, and upgrade WR if I need to. Right now, I think this team is pretty good, and well rounded with good depth and no bye conflicts. Thoughts on improvement?
smashmouths@blf 33 Posted September 5, 2013 Not too bad. A little soft at receiver, but pretty good. Not a championship team IMO.

WRs, a bunch of consistent guys, but no stud or a home run hitter unless Gordon goes off. With the lack of RB depth throughout the league, the waiver wire is probably worthless to find a back up. As for a WR, you may have to involve S Jax or Wilson in a trade, but I don't know if you have the depth at RB to able to afford doing it.
kobe808lak 7 Posted September 5, 2013 How did you manage to get SJAX and David Wilson?
NewbieJr 541 Posted September 5, 2013 How did you manage to get SJAX and David Wilson? He obviously went RB, RB, RB, which means he took one of them at 2.10 and the other at 3.3. That's great for RB depth (or a flex starter if youir league allows, but it also leaves you with Marques Colston as you WR1. It's a risky strategy, but he gave himself a little insurance by grabbing Josh Gordon a bit later. If he flashes like many say he might, then suddenly Colston/Garcon/Gordon isn't a bad trio. IGotWorms 3,862 Posted September 5, 2013 It's OK. You're not very strong at WR or QB. Obviously you're always gonna have one "meh" position coming out of the draft but I try not to have two.
tanatastic 2,062 Posted September 5, 2013 Rb Rb Rb is a viable this year when you see the guys like colston you end up with and are happy. Im fine w colston and Jordy as my wrs. qbs are all the same after the top 4 so hes just as good as any, all the sites will have romo for 30 most weeks. A guy in my 12 tm took 4 rbs to start his draft and hes perfectly fine. when the bye weeks come and hes not scrambling for warm bodies to start it will look even better. People forget that its a long season and you need minimum 3 very startable rbs, personally im not comfortable with less than 4 so im nervous about my team. Id say ur even solid at wr w lance moore and gordon, I have Brees penciled for 45-50tds this year. Ur team look sbetter than the guys who took a wr in rnd 2 and ended up w a crummy rb 2 and 3. 5Year1 23 Posted September 5, 2013 How did you manage to get SJAX and David Wilson? It can happen. In a Sunday draft, I went one better, got Martin, Wilson and MJD.

NewbieJr 541 Posted September 5, 2013 Kind of stalking Brut. Brut was kind of stalking IMMensa. Two cocky responses in one thread. I don't like trolls and asswholes. When I spot one, I let them know about it. That's my job.
Frank M 181 Posted September 5, 2013 Hey, Mensa! Now that most of the intelligent folks have left the Geek Bored, you should go back over there. Less of a chance for you to drag down the curve. Your team sucks, by the way.
