CornKobb 48 Posted December 11, 2013 I won the super bowl taking waiver wire Seattle on the road vs Chicago in 2011. Now Matt cassell is no Caleb Janie but isn't Minnesota a weak offense the eagles could take advantage of? It's hard to take the Bags even though they may be better. The eagles should be ahead with no Peterson. Thoughts? Thanks

rallo 136 Posted December 11, 2013 Thinking seriously about the dreaded and dreadful Falcons at home against the imploding Redskins. kirk cousins usually puts up a pretty good effort... although who knows... maybe they will pack it in and the birds D will go wild... i've talked myself into the eagles... I'm all in ... other guy has a better team WITH the chiefs D as well... miracles can happen
stonewall 647 Posted December 11, 2013 kirk cousins usually puts up a pretty good effort... Has he officially been named the starter? Yes, Atlanta comes with serious risk. But they did hold the Saints to 17 in a gutsy a couple of weeks ago and got 5 sacks and a TD last week at GB (albeit with Flynn). They are one of the few waiver defenses at home this week......with nothing to lose. I expect to see a lot of blitzes and defensive stunts in an effort to throw the home crowd a late-season bone. Birk 14 Posted December 11, 2013 In the same boat with the Bills, can't believe I cut useful D's to hang on to them. Anyways, I too am considering Jax or NO for this week. I've been crushed with going with the road D's this year with good matchups so I'm leaning towards Jax. Buffalo gives up a ton of points every week. Im putting a waiver in for Jax, but if MJD doesnt start i will be rolling with the Bills with a little more confidence

RepoPatrol 14 Posted December 11, 2013 Unfortunately waivers are done in my league. I am holding CLE, PIT, and the Jets. Thinking of going with the Steelers as Bengals haven't scored 17+ against them in the last 6 meetings and truthfully the other 2 are not startable. i will be playing the Jets at home against Clev in week 16. Hopefully it is in the Super Bowl. I would definitely go with the Jags if I was streaming. They are a different team from the start of season. I posted in one of these defense threads a few weeks ago that Jax had a cake schedule to finish the year. Wish I would have picked them up as my other choices have sucked. AintNoStoppinMeNow 68 Posted December 12, 2013 Picked up Buffalo and Titans D weeks ago to play them against the Jags this week and next. Now that doesn't look as sweet as originally planned... Anyone willing to take a stab out of this group? Having a really hard time picking. Bills @ Jags Jags vs Bills Saints @ Rams Falcons vs Skins Titans vs Cards

Mullog 12 Posted December 12, 2013 I think the Texans offense is one to target when picking a DST right now. They took over for J-ville in that regard a few weeks ago. I like the Colts at home against them this week. I also like the Falcons at home against the Skins. That team has got to be pretty demoralized and I don't see them competing very much. thePRO 78 Posted December 12, 2013 If Schaub is starting, the Texans will rock!!! Indy should be a no go, just like Jacksonville. I'm going Philly against my gut instinct Tennessee Titans. I'm first in coaching rating this year and I basically do the waiver DST of the week of who I think.
p00h 85 Posted December 12, 2013 Don't hear that everyday. by confidence I mean it's best option IMO. Next best choice is steelers and not happy about that, so Jax it is. I have a good feeling...

Hope it works out for you. I can't say much....I'm thinking about rolling with the lowest scoring defense (to-date) in the league. Atlanta

slippyer 3 Posted December 12, 2013 I think I might roll with the Saints vs. the Rams This is where I am up . Both in domes, both on the road. Looking at the QB's, Clemens blows. Cassel is not much better but I like the saints front 7 more I think.
Birk 14 Posted December 12, 2013 Per NFL LIVE (not that it matters) Sleeper alert - Jaguars defense vs. Buffalo Bills: Did you know that the Jags defense has outscored the Chiefs, Panthers and Ravens in the last four weeks? This unit now has some deep sleeper appeal against the Bills -- defenses have combined to score 31 fantasy points against EJ Manuel and his offense over their last two contests overall. (Maximum value: Low DEF1)
Dsausage 36 Posted December 12, 2013 I have been telling people the JAGS this week. Manuel wheels are officially coming off and Jax is rolling and at home.
CornKobb 48 Posted December 12, 2013 Jaguars or eagles?????
p.man 7 Posted December 14, 2013 Wow! So in this whole thread it looks like we are down to either the Jags,Eagles,Falcons and Colts. So far I have the Colts in my starting lineup. I did pick up the Eagles too and the Jags and Falcons are on my waiver wire. The team I am playing this week has the Bills....I need to start the right defense.... My gut all week was saying to start the Colts because they're at home and because I saw how much better they looked last week. I bet their defense will play hard and be all over the field tomorrow. They will keep it rolling by putting up a shutout with 3 sacks and at least 2 turnovers.
AintNoStoppinMeNow 68 Posted December 15, 2013 Now that MJD looks like he is out and Cecil Shorts looks like he may be anywhere from out to gimpy, I'm now considering the Bills over the Jags again.
p.man 7 Posted December 15, 2013 Who do you think has the best chance for sacks and turnovers and a possible score? Tenn vs Ariz. Indi vs Hou Phili @ Min Det vs Balt Jags vs Bills Tampa vs S.F Atlanta vs Wash

Birk 14 Posted December 15, 2013 Michael Fabiano From @RapSheet - Per team source:Cecil Shorts III (groin) and MJD (hamstring) are both expected to be out today. Think im going BILLS for sure now
Matt Mueller 146 Posted December 15, 2013 I'm rolling eagles over bengals in the IBL and my money league. Bengals donated against Indy and Pitt hasn't given up much against in weeks. Eagles are gonna score points and blitz the 3rd most in the league. Minn without ap and Gerahart is likely trailing forced to pass, which lead to sacks, picks and fumbles. I've got some confidence in this one. Any else feel it? Eagles!

I know losing AP is huge but I don't think the eagles defense should be considered beyond mediocre. It's not like jinny is playing Seattle or San Fran. I know losing AP is huge but I don't think the eagles defense should be considered beyond mediocre. It's not like jinny is playing Seattle or San Fran. I hear that. The Vikes really only had 13 points until the final 2 mins last game. Pitts last couple against in my league that scores Defs pretty big Miami 8.3 @ Bmore 1.3 Clevland .3 Detroit -1.6 Buffalo 10.3 Meanwhile Eagles last 6 scores for: 11.30 11.10 10.10 13.10 16.20 9.40 I'm just looking to get a safe 10 points and not get a zero as Cinci gave me last week and Pitt has give up 3 of the last 5 weeks. Indy passed all over Cinci and Pitt's passing game has hit it's stride. Eagles are hot and Vikes are still a mess IMO.
p.man 7 Posted December 15, 2013 FFToday has the Eagles def ranked at 22 and as a 3rd tier defense this week. The Colts are listed in the 2nd tier but ranked as the #4 def to start this week..

TimHauck 2,444 Posted December 15, 2013 Eagles might be decent. I was planning on going New England but this weekend has me concerned. Ended up sticking with New England, got me 9 points in my league. Thought it was kinda interesting that my opponent played Miami, who won the game but got him negative 1 point.
